Dimora Leone, large luxury apartment in the heart of Lucca
Dimora Leone is ideal for living a unique experience in the heart of the historic center of Lucca. Spacious charming apartment, embellished with original frescoes and art and antique decorations, it has maintained all the charm of the eighteenth-century aristocracy and, today as today, offers a truly unique atmosphere. The apartment, measuring over 200 square meters, is located on the second floor of a historic building, in a quiet and peaceful street in the historic center of Lucca, bordered by ancient buildings, a few steps from the main squares and streets that make the city one of the wonders of Tuscany.
Space The elegant entrance with a large marble table, statues at the corners and a sofa opens the doors to the rooms with frescoed ceilings where every detail tells a story: paintings, altarpieces, antique mirrors and a beautiful grand piano are just a few details of the fine finishes present. To the left of the entrance we find the main living room, with a huge fireplace, sofas and armchairs for relaxing while watching TV or reading a book. From here you enter the master bedroom, a space of over 35m2 with a double bed and a single bed. Here are the piano, the altarpieces, the frescoed ceiling and a majestic chandelier as well as other perfectly maintained period furniture. On the other side of the living room is the second double bedroom, again with large spaces and a sofa placed under a huge Baroque-style mirror, a room with wardrobes from which you enter the bathroom with shower, double sink and toilet. The other side of the house offers the dining room with a large table that can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people, a beautiful fireplace and also antique furniture, the fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, coffee machine Illy, kettle, toaster and juicer. At the back of the kitchen is a small laundry room with washing machine and dryer available for guests. Finally, a third double bedroom and an elegantly finished bathroom complete the house, ideal for a group of friends or families. I will personally welcome guests and show them the house. The apartment was wonderful. The location was great and near all the attractions and stores.
It was very convenient having the washer/dryer.
The mattresses were a bit uncomfortable but other than that we had a great experience.
Absolutely loved the location, the size of the apartment, the cleanliness!! Actually had the best night sleep of our entire trip!! We were just commenting on how we wish we could have taken the apartment with us to our next stay!! Just be prepared for the stairs, that is the only minor setback, however, that is Italy!! Be prepared to walk up or down!!
From the moment we arrived we felt as though we were staying in a royal suite at a museum. The furnishings and layout of the apartment are straight out of a movie. The space is enormous with 3 large bedrooms with a washer & dryer just off the perfect sized kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with all the items necessary to make a meal at home and David even provided enough local pasta & sauce for us to make a meal. Itâs even equipped with an amazing little expresso machine. The booking and check-in process were seamless. The apartment is ideally located to allow you to explore the beautiful city of Lucca and is within easy walking distance to some amazing local restaurants. Our communications with David, the owner, were flawless and he was always available to assist with recommendations. On our final day, he even gave us a ride to the train station. We will definitely be back to Lucca and will book with David again. Donâtâ forget to go in July to enjoy the Lucca Music Festival. Thank you for everything David.
