Conveniently located near the lake and town center
This unit is located close to the water, bus lines, and a reasonable walk to the restaurants. Bus lines will connect you from the train station to nearby the apartment.
The building was well-maintained, quiet and clean. Although in a city region, the street that the building was located on is quiet by day and reasonably quiet at night -especially for a weekend. There was some street activity of people and cars but not at all excessively noisy.
The apartment is small, but was fine for three guests with two in the bedroom, and one using the living room couch. It has a nice balcony off of both of these two rooms, which gives added space. It has a studio-style kitchen, part of the living room. We did not use the kitchen appliances, so I cannot comment on that aspect, but the refrigerator was clean and spacious.
The bathroom has a bathtub, that you have to step over the wall, and a handheld shower nozzle. Water strength was good and hot.
NEEDS IMPROVEMENT: Communication via email was limited, and only after the fact. I contacted this listing with preliminary questions, and did not get an answer. I also emailed questions about the entry process, after the booking was made, and did not get a response. I did receive a response, after we checked out, confirming damage that we had identified at check in (a ripped bedroom pillow).
CHECK-IN: This was a little confusing. Instructions arrive, not after confirming the reservation with VRBO, but directly via email and an automated system of the rental agent. At that point, you will receive a video link to do self check-in. It was quite useful, but what the video didn't show was that the mailbox doors, that contain the lockbox, are unlocked.
CHECK-OUT: There were no written instructions in the apartment for checking out. We stripped the beds and washed the dishes and notified the agent via email regarding what was done. There were no instructions about what to do with garbage or whether or not sorting was needed.
