The Space:
Sunlight pours through the tall windows, framing the rolling hills of the Shenandoah Valley while a gentle breeze carries the scent of pine across the wrapâaround porch. You settle into the plush kingâsize bed, feeling the historic woodwork whisper stories of the past, and step onto the private balcony to watch clouds drift over the Blue Ridge Mountains. In the quiet of the evening, the fireplace in the shared sitting room crackles, inviting conversation with fellow travelers who, like you, cherish a grownâup escape.
While your suite remains private, the entryway, cozy parlor with fireplace, and outdoor gardens are shared with other adult guests. These communal areas foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, exchange travel tips, or simply relax in the historic ambience. Quiet hours are respected to ensure everyoneâs privacy.

The host and staff were amazing. Came to luray to propose as we love hiking together. And while i took my now finance out for dinner, the staff helped place rose petals and candles around the room with champagne and strawberries as i had requested. Did even better then i imagined. She was so surprised and happy and it's all thanks to the staff. Really helped make it extra special
The Legacy Inn in Luray was great! Easy to find, easy entry (with a code), within walking distance of dining and outdoor music, and an easy drive to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park. Highly recommend.
This Beautiful Inn took me back to my childhood. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the porch during our short stay. Short walk along the street or relaxing greenway by the river to Main street. We loved West Main Market Beer and Wine Garden around the corner. Crazy good sandwiches and friendly staff! Our room was clean and cozy with lots of large windows. Wild flowers by the greenway were a nice view. Quick note for those who are sensitive to fragrance. The owner did make an effort to remove plug in fragrance from our room but there is a ton of fragrence in general being used in the building. For those who are sensitive it's unavoidable.
Very nice place to stay while passing through. Aesthetically pleasing, easily accessible, nice amenities, and walking distance to stores. The bed was NOT as described- it was a queen size and VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. The mattress made you roll to the middle as it seemed very old. THE MATTRESS NEEDS CHANGED IMMEDIATELY. Did not get much rest that night. The bed issue was addressed to the property manager immediately who said theyâd fix the problem.
We were there only for an overnight, but had enough time to visit local\downtown restaurants, shops and brewery. Easy walk to everything. Just park your car at the Inn and go. Short drive to hiking. Safe, everybody I walked by said "hi" before I could. The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, water was hot. I don't know how many other people were staying at the Inn while we were there, but the one person we met was friendly and quietly reading on the swing on the front porch. Nicely quiet and perfect for unwinding... not a good place for the "Louds". We'll stay again when we have more time to spend in Luray and I look forward to it.
