This hotel is fantastic! It's right in the middle of Aguas Calientes in the village closest to Machu Picchu. There was free breakfast included, they have a patio/balcony with a beautiful view of the mountains, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The location is central to the train station, local restaurants/shops, and right by the bust stop that you need to get to Machu Picchu. For anyone that is in town to see Machu Picchu, I definitely recommend the Sacred Stone. Its a family owned hotel, they rooms are spacious, include towels toiletries, and TVs with netflix. Check them out!

Sacred Stone is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Entrance of the hotel is through a restaurant. When we reached the hotel lights of the restaurant was turned off, however we went through it and reached reception to find out no body there. After searching, one guy came out and let us checked in. Room was terrible, very small, bathroom was smaller, not possible to stand properly in front of the sink. Worst part, door was not locking. We asked the guy at front desk and he told that it’s safe, although door is not locking. We left immediately and moved to another hotel. THIS IS TERRIBLE HOTEL, DO NOT STAY THERE EVER.

Be prepare if not speak Spanish. Hotel all staff is no speak English not one word but they are trying to understand you just smiling if you ask anything they don't have no idea. Also it's very small hotel bed is not comfortable at all showers anything don't expect anything over there .we was very much tired I don't have not much choice just stayed. Bc I can't communicate if you trying to communicate with them just waste your time better go to sleep.

Great location close to where the train drops you off without having to walk stairs up into town. Loved that you can hear the river from your room and that it has reliable hot water! They also went above and beyond to have a breakfast baggie ready to take with me to my super early Machu Picchu hike. Would absolutely stay there again!

Great Budget Friendly Stay in Aguas Calientes

Wonderful stay! Shower was hot with lots of pressure. We had a beautiful view of the river. Excellent location within minutes of train stop, plaza, etc. As a family of four (teenagers), we were very happy with the accommodations. Perfect for a quick overnight trip before heading to MP.
