Well located, practical no-frills hotel

This hotel was perfectly located for our first visit to Madrid. Easy walking distance to everything. The room was ok, no frills but practical. However, the bathroom was outdated and a little run down. Shower was over the bath, not ideal for those less mobile. Service was patchy, some staff helpful, but mostly not very helpful with restaurants, taxis etc..

Our room, 205, had a very small window which had no view other than the hotel's walls and windows. No coffee in the room was disappointing and the "bar" wasn't very good at all.

Our room had an amazing walk out balcony (6th Floor) with a large awning so it was useable even in the rain. Convince food store right across the street. Shower was inconvenient and felt somewhat unsafe as it was an elevated tub with no handles to get in and out and only a hand held spray but no hook so you had to hold it in one hand the entire time.
