Disgusting-don't sleep here!!

Granted, we needed a cheap hotel to stay about 12 hours in before we flew out of Madrid airport. But gosh. This room was the grossest room we've ever stayed in. Stained carpet. Peeling paint and wallpaper. Moldy shower. Hair in the hand towel. The ceiling was open so we could see wiring and insulation. The restaurant staff and the bartender were very nice and made great gin & tonics. But not so good to make us forget the disgusting room. The 24 hour shuttle to the airport was convenient.
