Great location in the Centre of Madrid. Very clean and tidy and functional. I had not anticipated that with a “Hostal” there was no lounge within which to sit - not a problem, just something to bear in mind. The bed was comfortable and I slept well, but sound did travel along the corridor guided by the hard walls ( perhaps some drapes to muffle the sound could be deployed). All together good value when considering location and comfort.

CENNTRAL LOCATION

MY ROOM PROVIDED A DOUBLE BED AND BATHROOM AND IT WAS CLEAN. THE BUILDING HAS A LIFT. THE LOCATION IS 5 MIN WALK TO DOWNTOWN SOL. SHOPPING CENTRES, RESTAURANT AND 20 MIN to 30 MIN to PARKS FOR SIGHTSEEING.

I like the fact that everything was very clean, the bathroom look very nice and clean. The wall decoration was very nice as well. What I didn't like was the building hallway was dark at night time, my room was extremely small and just adjacent of the main doors, which I was hearing all the noises when people walked in and out the facility. It also made me feel a little bit insecure. I also had to leave the key inside the bedroom lock to be sure the room was locked Thanks to the air conditioning noise I was able to feel relax and able to avoid the noise at the entrance.

hostel in excellent location

This is just a hostel with no facilities. Room had a private bathroom and the aircon kept the room cool. Staff could not speak much English and even though the hotel info says breakfast available for E3 when we asked for breakfast just told 'no breakfast' and could not get the reception to undertstand we wanted to purchase breakfast so had to go out every day to a local cafe for breakfast. The room was clean but basic and an aceptable size. The wardrobe was just a gap in the wall with 4 hangers and no cupboards so as we stayed for 6 nights there was no-where to store our clothes. On the positive side it is in an excellent location only a couple of minutes walk from the main Gran Via and the metro station. We had a small balcony which overlooked the road and this was very noisy Friday and Saturday eves when the nightclub next door was open, the rest of the nights it was quiet.

It is in the shady area of Madrid. The room is small and sparsely furnished. But about 5 minutes from the metro.

Best option for low cost trip

Excelent option if you will stay just for few days and do not have budget to pay a "full service" hotel. Clean, comfortable beds and good location (close to at least two different metro stations and metro lines and also to many touristic locations in Madrid)

Nice cosy hostel in great location

The hostel was clean and comfortable and the room was beautifully decorated. I liked the use of a personal shower and having a TV in there was a great addition. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend as it's in such a fantastic location with easy access to all of the main sites and attractions :-)

The hotel was very nice and fairly modern, the only minus was the shower. It looked really fancy but was partially broken.

Hotel, positioned in very accessible place.

The overall experience was positive. The staff was very simpatic and accepted check-in after midnight; and even offer a map. We were a little disappointed with the lack of common spaces and breakfast.

Perfect for a party-like stay. Not for sleeping.

Place is decent, but don't stay there if you want to sleep before 5am as it is VERY noisy. Soundproofing is non-existent and there are a good number of bars in the area/street...Otherwise, excellent value for money.

this hostal is in the perfect location, close to everywhere... we were very happy thoughout our 5 nights stay, and will def. go back if ever visit madrid again... very clean room, friendly stuff, great price!!!

Apartment too small to accommodate 3/4 people.

We were very disappointed with the 2 bedroomed apartment which was booked for three of us. My husband and myself, along with our son (aged 28). It was very, very cramped and unsuitable for 3/4 people. My son found it so unsuitable, that he requested another room, which, with the help of a Spanish speaking friend via a phone call, arranged this very soon after we arrived with the Hostel staff. The second bedroom in this apartment, had a double bed squeezed into the space of a single bed. This room was not going to be available for the second night, so he then chose to find alternative accommodation. We would never recommend this hostal to anyone

Había una gotera el en váter, pero cerré la tapa y la puerta del baño y ya no se oía. No dije nada estando allí porque no me gusta molestar y el ruido no me molestaba tampoco. Por lo demás genial, me encantó, justo al lado de la Gran Vía. Muy barato para la ubicación y el sitio.
