Great room, building and breakfast. The staff is very kind on an individual basis. The feeling though is of a poorly run hotel: my room was only ready nearly 2 hours after check in time; my suitcase took two hours more to be delivered and required 2 phone calls to the reception desk; one of my two bags was sent to my mother’s room; the staff at the main bar in the afternoon was rushed and slow; both the Nespresso machine and the scale in my room didn’t work; no cups for coffee and no complimentary water were delivered until I asked. Nice place, no doubt, but too chaotic to justify the price tag and the historical prestige of the property. On this basis, I wouldn’t return.

Perfection. A pristine hotel with lots of traditional charm and features. The rooms are generously sized with excellent bathrooms. The restaurant and bar La Cupula is one of the most beautiful rooms to dine in. We visited for a special occasion and didn’t want to leave!
