Holiday home with pool in quiet & safe location, only 1 km to the market square

This well kept holiday home is situated on a completely enclosed plot of approx. 4,300 mÂČ on the outskirts of AlarĂł. The market square is within easy walking distance of approx. 1 km and you can reach it within 10 minutes.

The house has a constructed area of 128 mÂČ. On the ground floor you will find the living-dining room with fireplace and open-plan kitchen with counter, pantry, two bedrooms and a toilet with shower. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one bathroom and a small terrace. The house is also provided with a large front terrace, a terrace behind the house, child-safe pool (salt water) with sun terrace and a covered parking space for 2 cars.

Electricity consumption is not included and will be charged on site at €0.30/kWh.

SĂ©jour reposant au calme

La maison est bien situĂ©e dans un quartier calme. Elle est vaste et bien Ă©quipĂ©e notamment de climatisation indispensable l’étĂ©. Tout est parfaitement propre, y compris la piscine. L’accueil des hĂŽtes est trĂšs chaleureux. Et la situation de la maison est parfaite pour dĂ©couvrir une grande partie de l’üle. Je recommande vivement.

Brilliant holiday in villa in Alaro

This villa where we have stayed twice before is wonderful! Clean with great amenities including aircon. Lorenzo is always so friendly and welcoming and Hortensia who deals with bookings is always very quick to reply. Gentle 10 min stroll to the square which has a variety of bars and restaurants - we’ll be back!

8 day long stay in Alaro

We were staying in this property with a group of friends. We really enjoy our stay. The house is neat and spacious and the big garden with fruit trees is a give plus. The owner welcomed is with a home-baker cake, which was a nice welcome. The property is just outside the village, on a 10-minute walk to the centre.

Tolles Haus in guter Lage

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Die Lage des Objektes ist gut fĂŒr Urlauber, die Wandern wollen. Auch sonst erreichtman von dort aus viele sehenswerte Orte auf Mallorca. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Im Ort Alaro gibt es alles, was man fĂŒr den tĂ€glichen Bedarf benötigt und das Zentrum ist in kurzer Zeit zu Fuß zu erreichen. Also rundum alles da, was man braucht. Der Vermieter schaut regelmĂ€ĂŸig vorbei um den Pool in Schuss zu halten. Das macht er sehr dezent und er ist mit freundlichem Gruß wieder schnell verschwunden. Auch die Mitarbeiterin von fewo-direkt war sehr freundlich und stets gut erreichbar, wenn Fragen aufkamen. Vielen Dank dafĂŒr.

Lovely house in a great location

Perfect for a short late summer trip to revisit some of the wonderful roads on our bikes. Clean and spacious with the added bonus of a pool to relax in after a hot day in the saddle. The only improvement we'd suggest making is a house manual, there's a lot to take on-board during the introduction.

Besser geht es kaum

Sehr gepflegte und saubere Anlage in ruhiger Lage, die den Urlaub sehr entspannt und angenehm macht. Der Empfang mit einem sehr leckeren Kuchen und einem freundlichen Besitzer, der uns alles erklĂ€rt hat. Frisches Obst von den ObstbĂ€umen aus dem Garten, eine Tischtennisplatte und ein Grill fĂŒr einen gemĂŒtlichen Grillabend ist vorhanden. GenĂŒgend Ausstattung fĂŒr die angegeben Anzahl Personen ist vorhanden. Ausflugsziele sind mit dem Auto schnell zu erreichen und der Ortskern, mit einer leckeren Eisdiele, ist keine 10min Fußweg entfernt. Wir bedanken uns fĂŒr den wirklich schönen Aufenthalt.

Huset har allt man behöver och ligger i en liten mysig by med trevliga restauranger, lite turister. NÀra till bergskedjan och ett Mekka för cyklister. Endast 30min med bil till bÄde Palma och Alcudia. LÀtta att Äka till en större strand men Àven skönt att stanna vid poolen vissa dagar. Rekommenderas varmt.

Erholsame Oase in wunderschönem Ort

Der Ort Alaro hat sehr viel Charme und ist weit weg von den Touristengegenden. Das Haus ist umgeben von einem Obstgarten und sehr ruhig gelegen. Von dort kann man unkompliziert Touren mit dem Auto zu den StrĂ€nden im Norden machen oder in die Berge fahren. Palma ist 25 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Es lĂ€sst sich auch sehr gut am Haus entspannen und im sauberen Pool schwimmen. Wir konnten uns gut erholen und wĂŒrden das Haus das nĂ€chste Mal wieder buchen. Der Besitzer hat uns alles gut erklĂ€rt und war sehr freundlich. Vielen Dank fĂŒr den schönen Aufenthalt!

Lovely stay in rural setting on edge of small town

Communication was very good from start to finish. Greeted at the property on arrival with instructions and a wonderful cake and jam. The house sits on the outskirts of Alaro, a lovely little town with a bakery and restaurants. The square is a fun place to be on Saturday; the morning has a lovely little market, in the evening after dinner dancing it becomes a meeting place with the locals, music and dancing. The house itself is very clean and comfortable and is a peaceful base from which to explore, whether on bike or in car. The pool is a welcome addition in the heat when having a relaxing day. We enjoyed our stay here and would definately recommend.

Wonderful holiday home

This house is about as perfect as it gets! Everything you need is here including air conditioning - essential after last week when we were there. 5-7 min stroll to the lovely Alaro square. Great service from Hortense at Fincas Hortense and the owner Lorenzo. Our second time here and we’ll certainly go back - but please can we gave some mirrors in the bedrooms?

Charming and practical

We have rented many houses in Mallorca. As cyclists, we have never had a better location. Everything also works, it's not quite common. The garden is lovely, the pool is in the right location, the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are comfortable. Lorenzo and Petra offered a homemade, very good Mallorcan cake and marmalade on apricots from the garden. Strong recommendation!

The house exceeded our expectation in many ways

Very well equipped & comfortable for us all.. A lot of space both indoors & out. Parking is not easy in Alaro, so the fact the house has plenty of space is a big bonus. Proved to be a great base for our cycle trips out. The town itself has a lot of character with plenty of choices for eating out.. Kitchen is also well equipped, should you decide to eat in. Towels ( indoor & out ) provided. Bed Linen provided. Dishwasher & Washing machine both worked very well. Property does have air conditioning.

Lovely villa approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre of Alaro

Alaro is a pretty, hillside town with a wide choice of bars and restaurants within walking distance of the villa. The villa has everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday , including table tennis, barbecue and indoor games. A car is a must for visiting other parts of the island. Alaro is a convenient centre for exploring, especially the north of the island. Thank you to Lorenzo's wife who baked an absolutely delicious cake for us! Wonderful, authentic Mallorca country house on the edge of a lovely town

The house was perfect and had plenty in door and out door space. The owner was absolutely lovely and presented us with homemade cake and jam. He gave advice on local restaurants and a bakers which sold fabulous bread and savoury pastries. We would recommend this house to anyone who wanted to experience the real Mallorca and the wonderful hospitality.

Comments on our stay at Fincas Hortensia, Alaro, Mallorca July 2018.

A lovely Villa set on the edge of the quaint Mallorcan town of Alaro. The villa was very comfortable and clean with a pleasant welcome from the owner Lorrenzo who provided us with a lovely homemade welcome lemon cake upon our arrival and fresh locally grown plums. The villa was very spacious for our party of four. It would be a little tight were 8 adults to stay there, more suitable for 4-6 adults or maybe two families with younger children in our opinion. It was equipped with a lovely pool that was self maintained. Also plenty of parking space for 3-4 vehicles if required. A lovely fruit orchard as part of the grounds and generally plenty of outside living space. There was a more than ample supply of crockery, cutlery and glasses but could do with more cooking pots and pans. It may also be beneficial to have mirrors in the bedrooms maybe attached to the inside of the wardrobe doors for example, an observation by the ladies of our party. Lastly the barbecue had seen better days and was on its last legs, rusty and not very inviting to use. A new Barbecue and or Paella gas ring, stand, pan and bottle would have been useful. However, we very much enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend Fincas Hortensia. Alaro itself is a lovely small town, very Mallorcan with a nice family feel and plenty of nice restaurants to enjoy the local food and wine. The town is around 20 minutes drive to Inca and around 25 minutes drive into Palma. 35-40 Euros by taxi to or from Palma. There is only one local taxi service in Alaro so one would need to book it in advance. The telephone number is advertised at the petrol station on the right coming into Alaro.
