Spacious new luxury townhome located right on the Sierra Star Golf Course hole #10 in Obsidian Gated Community. Views take you away from the city bustle, yet convenient to everything Mammoth offers. Steps away from free shuttle stop that frequents Eagle Lodge, The Village and The Main Lodge. Mammoth Scenic Loop entrance is just in front.

This tri-leve townhome has great south/ southwest views of Mammoth Mtn and the golf course with ample sunlight year round. It features 2 decks. Main floor deck includes a Blaze BBQ grill and a large private Sundance hot tub that seats 7, while the top deck includes a Bromic heater with seating to enjoy the outside on chilly clear nights stargazing and listening to nature.

Second level has a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with island, hardwood flooring and stainless steel Bertazzoni appliances. Dining table seats 8 with additional 4 bar stool seating at the kitchen island.
Pantry cabinet has ample room for groceries but also houses several serving bowls, dishes, spaghetti bowls, trivets, placemats and bar glassware. Wood sideboard has additional larger spaghetti bowl and serving pieces.

Family room has Smart Tv, Bluetooth speaker and cabinet full of games and cards.

First level entrance has bench for easy shoe remover and ample coat/hat hooks.
Heated garage with 2 tandem car spots, bench, boot warmer, hanging racks for skies or snowboards, 4 bar stool to hang out while playing ping pong (folds for storage)

Fall Colors Vacation

We had a nice time on our Mammoth vacation. The property is in a good location (close to everything), and well stocked. Everything was clean and comfortable. Heating is provided through the floor, and the first floor (bunk room and laundry closet) does take some time to warm up. The middle and upper floor warmed up faster. If traveling in the winter and using the first floor, request the thermostat to be turned up prior to arrival. Overall, we had a good time, and we would stay here again without hesitation.

A great location to enjoy all that Mammoth has to offer....

This is a wonderful location to stay in Mammoth Lakes. Close to town but with a direct view of Mammoth Mountain (backing onto the golf course) - quiet location with great views of the night sky from the hot tub! Nicely designed interior with an open kitchen/living room across entire 2nd floor perfect for family/friends to eat, socialize and hang out. Scott is a great host, responsive and helpful. We've been coming to Mammoth Lakes every summer for more than 20 years. This is the nicest location we've stayed. Highly recommended.

Spring break stay

The house was beautiful! It provided space for three families. The kitchen was great for cooking large meals for everyone and for hanging out. The views were gorgeous especially with the record amount of snow fall. We even got to see some coyotes and a fox on the golf course. The only negatives were the finish nails in the stairs kept poking the kids randomly on their feet. I would have liked a more high powered vacuum. We vacuumed everyday but the battery and suction were pretty low. The neighbor down the street is a super angry man. We were letting the kids sled and he parked his car in the middle of the street to prevent us from sledding. It was super weird and he let us know that we were not “locals”. Also, anytime we would go to the clubhouse the gentlemen would ask if we were owners or renters?! He did not like the moms holding planks and doing exercise by the side of the pool while our kids swam because the “owners might come in”. Once again, super weird. Besides the negative non local/ non owner vibe. It was a great trip.

Great place for a group

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Scott’s place. It’s conveniently located only minutes from the Eagle Lodge at Mammoth and has complementary shuttle service to and from the mountain as well. The kitchen was the most well supplied kitchen of any house I have stayed at and was appreciated by our group. All beds were comfortable, the living areas were clean, and the house made for a great week in Mammoth. We wouldn’t hesitate to rebook at Scott’s place for a future trip.

Nice townhouse, make sure you buy insurance

Townhouse was nice and clean, property owner was responsive and accommodating with early check in. Was very happy until i got home and received an email about a damaged bed. I contacted Scott and let him know the damage was already there when we got there, he said it’s probably the case but still wanted to file the claim with insurance to get new bed. I will not stay there again, lost my trust.

Fabulous Mammoth Condo

A great family and friends condo to rent and get snowed in !!! We spent 5 days and the location and house was fantastic. Clean, functional and super close to eagle and canyon! Great set up for 2 families as well with a fun bunk room and jacuzzi for the kids,

Family ski trip

We had a luxurious stay with 3 generations over Christmas for our annual ski trip. We were able to spread out over the spacious three floors, while enjoying our time together on the main floor in the living room/kitchen/dining room. The ground floor heater took several hours to reach temperature which lead to a cold night in the bunk room for the kids on the night we arrived. The owner was apologetic and acknowledged that there were a few glitches still being fixed in this new property. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped for all of our at home meals. The property was a quick 10 minute ride to canyon lodge for skiing. There was a shuttle service, but we chose to drive ourselves back and forth. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

Fantastic

I can't recommend this home highly enough. It was perfect in every way and is the best place we have stayed in Mammoth. It is spacious with plenty of room for everyone over three levels. It is well stocked with everything you could need - I especially appreciate the inclusion of spices and oils at vacation properties. The heated garage for all the ski gear was great and the hot tub a perfect way to relax after a day on the slopes. The owner was responsive and very helpful. It is quiet but still close enough to the action - a short drive to the Village or the shops in Mammoth township. There is a shuttle stop just out the front gate of the community which is very convenient. We will definitely be back for another stay. Thank you for sharing your home.

Luxury vacation rental

We were a family of 10 and had a fantastic time at this home with plenty of space. The pictures do not do the place justice. The layout is great for big groups. All the rooms are nice with very comfortable beds and the bottom bunk room worked great for a family of 4 traveling with us. The owners have added many thoughtful touches. The home is one of the most well stocked VRBO’s we have stayed in. Plenty of cookware for whatever you plan on making (waffle maker, Kurig, French press etc) . Top of the line appliances and an assortment of cooking oils and spices. We had one day of rain pretty much all day and spent the day playing the large assortment of games and puzzles, ping pong and corn hole in the garage and enjoying the hot tub. If you don’t mind walking, Distant brewing is a nice 15-20 minute walk. Quick 5 min drive to village. If you are staying in the winter the house has heated floors and heated garage with plenty of racks for skis and snowboards and close to shuttle stop. The hosts were quick to answer questions and were able to accommodate a couple special requests we had. We would not hesitate to book this house again and are already talking about booking for next summer.

Wonderful Stay

Lazy Bear Hideaway was the perfect home base for our Mammoth adventure. The property has great alpine views, a gracious layout, and everything you need for stress free stay. We can’t recommend this property enough.
