Ideal for the AO Arena

Wonderful hotel in excellent location for the ao arena, Victoria station and shopping. Very clean and modern but with character too and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and we had a lovely meal there on the first night. I would definitely recommend

Nice Hotel and Well Placed

This is a nice hotel. Its brilliantly situated about 150yds from the Next shop in the Arndale. Trams and Deansgate right by the hotel. The hotel is very nice but there are a few issues. Breakfast was very nice. In room TV not too good. No ITV. These days of freeview its beyond me why the TV was not tuned in to all the freeview channels. We had BBC1 and really that was it. When we went out hor the day we returned to the room and thought that no housekeeping had visited the room. My wife put the bed sheets sort of neatish but not made and thats how they were everytime we returned each day. Bin in room only emptied once. Tea making and biscuits not fully replenished each day. Housekeeping had been in the room as we had clean towels every day. One gripe with me which may not be right for me to say so but here goes was that 12 months ago we had booked the hotel for 3 nights and had to cancel late and lost all of our money. I mentioned this when we checked in thinking we may get an upgrade but no, some stoney faced receptionist just booked us in not even giving any response to me mentioning this so i felt a little unhappy. All in all my wife and i did enjoy our stay and will probably book again next time we visit Manchester and i hope the issues mentioned will be resolved.

Including breakfast with our trip, had to book a table the day before which was understandable. Arrived on time in the morning and took an hour for it to arrive, when it did, bits were missing. Had to speak to reception about our check out because it was close to our checkout time and didn’t want to incur any fees, luckily they were happy to give us an additional hour but no apology for the breakfast taking long. Noise from outside is a bit much, even on the 10th floor. Our room had an adjoining door to the next room which our neighbours tried to open whilst we were in our room. Nice clean hotel but just a shame about the door to next door and the breakfast situation

Facilities can't meet demand

A beautiful, new hotel but service cannot meet the number of guests it accommodates. We were unable to pre book parking and take advantage of the discount code but able to park in the same car park and pay full price. There were queues to check in, and the queues completely blocked the small lobby area and access to the bar, restaurant and lifts. The lifts were busy and we were not allowed to use the stairs to go up to our first floor room. The bottle of conditioner in the shower was empty. The dining room is small and so you are asked to book a time for breakfast, which takes the pleasure out of a relaxed morning when enjoying a night away. Hot breakfast is cooked to order and we waited an hour for it, only for it to be served cold. We were warned about the delay and staff apologised for it, but we saw other tables leaving without having eaten as they no longer had time to wait. Both coffee machines were missing ingredients so neither one could produce the drink I wanted, though I am grateful to the member of staff who went to get me that drink from the coffee shop. Such a shame as the room was lovely but we would not stay here again.

Great hotel

Stayed the second year in a row. Great hotel. Great service. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and it is very convenient to walk to and from Victoria station. Thank you for a lovely stay! Definitely be back again next year!

We only had an overnight stay, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were on the 12th floor and had terrific views over the city. Very comfortable bed, lovely large shower. Nicely decorated throughout. Enjoyed the breakfast plenty of choice. Can not fault the hotel would definitely stay again.

Perfect location to food outlets and of course the arena! However, some of the staff were not welcoming and despite a simple task, you would have thought you asked them to climb a mountain! Room was fantastic. Great view and time to relax and people watch! TV didn’t connect as stated on the TV through the QR code reader. Not major but wasted! Bar was reasonable . Staff rushed off their feet and so a bit of a wait for drinks. Although a few members of staff trying to look busy! Tables were dirty and floor sticky. Breakfast, waited 50 mins from order with 2 gentle reminders to the staff on our wait time. Coffee, needed to be a bit hotter! Cozy hotel but needed to be a bit more friendlier!

Really nice luxury hotel, modern clean and well furnished. Comfortable large bed with brilliant white bedding. Air conditioning quiet and works great The only problem is staffing, service is slow due to lack of staff. The staff working are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, lots of choice and full English very nice and hot m. We would definitely stay here again

Fantastic stay

Hotel was in an amazing location for all city amenities, we travelled for a concert at the Arena which was amazing. Very clean and comfortable, breakfast very good with nice restaurant and courteous staff. Will definitely stay again 😊
