It was ok. On arrival the reception lady who booked us in was quite rude so didn’t get off to a great start. Then key card we were given didn’t work so back to reception. Room was in desperate need to a refresh and dark but very clean. Hotel bar closed at 11 am which was a surprise. Breakfast was expensive for what there was in offer.

Staff were lovely! All very welcoming and efficient. The room was very clean but there was a dodgy socket and the water didn’t seem to drain quickly in my shower but these are easily fixed. It can be a bit noisy at times so bare that in mind. The hotel location is very central and great for a couple nights away. Thank you!

The hotel is located in the centre of Manchester within easy walking distance of Piccadilly station, the trams and everywhere in the centre I needed to go. The hotel appears to have changed ownership and its name from iBis to Sunday since I booked but at no point did any such new ownership create any problems for my booking. The room was cleaned daily and everything I needed worked. All in all an excellent trip and stay.

The room had everything we required and was very convenient for the city centre and train station. There was a lot of noise from the next room but this stoppes by 1am, so we didn't need to complain.

Beautiful carpets and decor, reception staff were fabulous- polite and helpful. Breakfast was ok. I like my bacon and sausages well done rather than just cooked so that was a disappointment as all the sausages were pale in colour and the bacon was just cooked. No mushrooms either. Overall we had a fantastic time, the bed was so comfortable I could have stayed forever.

Pleasurable stay

Location is great for the shops and Canal St bars that we frequent. A taxi rank is across the road. Best thing about the room was the curtains and double glazing making it quiet and dark, the bed was comfy too. Well equipped with iron, board and hairdryer Not so good was the oversized sink taking up most of the room near the bathroom mirror. The room was quite small and not enough room to store clothes.

Room was small but clean. Staff were great. Very central location. However, feel some investment needed in soundproofing for both inside & outside noise - could hear everything happening on the street outside (inc. someone on the phone on the street, with me on the 4th floor), & corridor noise. Pillows uncomfortable (for my taste), didn't get good night of sleep. Wouldn't particularly stay here again - it was fine, but there is better out there for the same £.

Stayed here last minute after a delayed flight to break up my journey. Think the reviews and pictures were misleading. Rooms pretty tatty and in need of TLC. Thin walls, no soundproofing and woken up by people coming in late and then someone in the next room coughing early in the morning. Wouldn’t want to stay here longer than I had to, but staff were friendly enough and location good, just overpriced for what is essentially an old travel lodge equivalent.
