Downgraded due to issue with room reservation. I've been staying here for several years now and my stays averages between 26 to 27 nights every year. I made reservation in June of 2025 for 26 nights stay, paid in full, requested same room (Rm 2902) from previous stays. Arrived and room was NOT available. City Garden Grand hotel had over FOUR months notice in advance of my arrival. Why was it not blocked off/reserved? Especially for such a long stay and for a repeat guest?? Was not able to unpack because not sure when the room would be available and when I could move in. VERY INCONVENIENT! Had to wait several days before it was finally available. City Garden Grand needs to prioritize/pay more attention to repeat guests that stays longer than your average guests. MANAGEMENT needs to pay closer attention! Will try again for next year, but I will take my business elsewhere if this happens again. City Garden Grand is NOT the only hotel in the area! Beyond that, staff (from doorman, security, bellhop, housekeeping, and front desk personnel) was wonderful except for one at the front desk.

I had a wonderful stay at City Garden Grand Hotel! The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. I truly enjoyed my experience and will definitely book here again on my next trip to Manila.

We had a great stay here, huge bed! But rooms aren’t really sound proof. We did really enjoy the breakfast buffet and all the options they offered. Really close to a lot of the bars/clubs if you like going out but also clean and has a really nice rooftop bar with great cocktails!

I have stayed in this hotel for many years. This last stay was a little bit disappointing. There were area carpets in the room before that have been removed, and the beds are not as comfortable and they squeaked and make a thumping sound so loud that it woke me up. Other than that, it was comfortable and conveniently located. I have always enjoyed staying there, but it seems that perhaps they changed management or ownership because it’s just not the same.

Hotel was very clean and we had a pleasant stay as it’s near lots of dining options. We however had a frustrating experience at checkin. We arrive right on 2pm, check in time and got the key to one room after about 10 minutes of the front desk typing away on the computer. After about another 10 minutes we were told to have a seat. After about another 10 minutes we asked if there was a problem and were told they were still waiting for the room to be cleaned. Meanwhile everyone else was checking in and going off to their room. After 40-45 minutes wait all up, we got the key to our 2nd room.surely there was a room ready somewhere in the big hotel. After a day of travelling with the kids, this was not a great first experience of this hotel. They offered us late checkout, however we were leaving early for a flight so was no benefit to us. Hopefully others have a quicker check in. Apart from this it was a great hotel and if we are ever to spend another night in Manila, we would stay here again.
