Orchard Beach House unit #3 is the ideal getaway for families, couples, groups of friends and outdoorsy folks! Unit #3 is adjacent to Units 1 & 2. Reserve these additional units, or rent the entire complex for big groups and events. This updated 1950’s era building is charming, refined-rustic, romantic, warm, and welcoming.

*Additional units in this four-plex property are available. Consider reserving multiple units if making reservations for large groups or events. This four-plex sleeps 48 guests total.

Unit #3 features a spacious, airy, open-design kitchen/living/dining space. The freshly remodeled interior takes its design cues from the surrounding water, sky, and forest. The decor is enlivened with saturated shades of aqua blue, teal, and vibrant, sunset orange. Wooden furniture and hardwood floors in muted, gray colors of driftwood, help to make the colors really pop. It’s a perfect mix of classic and contemporary. Windows are plentiful; the space is filled with natural light.

This inviting space has all the charm of a quintessential rustic, lake cabin, yet all the comforts of sophisticated leisure/resort lodging. The cozy, stylish, fully-equipped, full-kitchen has crisp white cabinets, a glossy white tile backsplash, gray quartz countertops, and state-of-the-art stainless appliances including a full-size fridge/freezer combo, an electric range, oven, microwave, and dishwasher.

Enjoy family meals at a farmhouse-style wooden dining table with benches. Plenty of space for the whole gang to dine! Grill fresh-caught whitefish! Bake pasties! Serve corn on the cob, fruit salad, or a summertime tomato salad with fresh produce from the local farmers market. For dessert, serve up cobbler with fresh blueberries or local thimbleberries. Whatever the season, whatever the menu, make memories of a lifetime dining with friends and loved ones in this idyllic lake-side vacation getaway.

After dinner, relax on the heather-gray living room sectional sofa and stream your favorite shows or movies on the SmartTV. (Living room sofa is a queen size sleeper sofa.) There are two bedrooms and one bathroom directly off the main living space. The sky-blue bathroom has a single-sink vanity, a large, well-lit mirror, and a tub/shower combo. Plush towels, hairdryer, toiletries are all provided.

Both bedrooms have wall-to-wall carpeting, stylish new furnishings, luxurious mattresses, nightstands, closets, and calming coastal hues of aqua blue; periwinkle, teal, and sky blue. Drift to sleep dreaming of deep northern pine forests and azure skies, as glistening, moonlit waves crash along the lakeshore.

Exterior amenities are a highlight of this property. Enjoy a large, lush, beautifully landscaped yard nestled beside a grove of fir trees. A paver patio boasts a BBQ grill and tranquil alfresco dining area. There’s a huge sauna, and several storage sheds for supplies, bikes, kayaks, etc. Relax in Adirondack chairs beside the fire pit, roast marshmallows, connect with neighbors and fellow travelers.

Stroll down the boardwalk to Orchard Beach; a pristine public recreation area offering two-hundred beachfront acres, bluffs, scenic views, hiking trails, and camping. Gardens planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps and remnants of an apple orchard, for which the park was named, can still be seen. This majestic park is listed in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Just five minutes from Bar Lake access and downtown Manistee, this tranquil property is surrounded by miles of hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing trails, adjacent to the Bird Sanctuary and Conservancy. Boating (kayaking, canoeing, SUP, sailing, etc.) is a popular local activity. Nearby, thousands of acres of Manistee National Forest offer year-round opportunities for outdoor adventure.

Sunsets over the lake are exquisite! Anticipate hues of gold, orange, pink, and violet. Manistee summer nights are full of fireflies, crickets, peepers, cicadas, and owls. Occasionally, at dawn or dusk, you’ll hear sandhill cranes migrating overhead. Late summer days are filled with wildflowers, songbirds, milkweed, and monarch butterflies. Autumn foliage is spectacular! Apples are crisp, grapes are ripe, cider mills and vineyards are plentiful. In winter, winds can turn wild in an instant! When snow falls, the quietude is majestic. Snowmobile trails beckon. This land is a recreational paradise.

Check in time is after 4:00PM and check out time is before 10:00AM. Please note that we are not able to accommodate early arrivals or late departures from May – September. Any request for additional time will depend on availability of the rental and an additional fee may be added to the stay.

ARRIVAL: There is no formal check-in procedure. Arrival details are sent prior to your check-in date and will include the exact location of the property, parking and entry information. Guests will have a private, secure entrance and the rental is not shared by owners or other guests.

DEPARTURE: We do have a very short checklist we ask renters follow upon departure. It includes making sure the property is left tidy, furniture is in the same place you found it, everything is closed, locked and turned off, and the thermostat is set properly. These items will only take a couple of minutes but help staff immensely.

Please know that all rental policies and house rules are strictly enforced. This includes occupancy limits, age requirements, the ‘no parties’ and ‘no smoking’ clauses or any other rule posted online or within the rental. These are often defined by local ordinances, Homeowner’s Associations or other legal requirements and can result in fines or eviction if violated. We do not provide additional refunds for cancellations, late arrivals or early departures except as required in the posted cancellation policy.

Clean & Comfortable

Very responsive property owner. Check in was great, location was close to everything we needed. Property was clean and well maintained. All amenities were accounted for. Glad I downloaded all the check in info I needed beforehand - my cell phone service at the location was really poor, grateful for the WiFi!

Small, cute place

This is a small cute place. Too small for 4 adult men but it worked. The bed mattress in the master felt a bit uncomfortable but the price was pretty low too. The renter messaged me multiple times about partys and quiet time before we got there so maybe they have had issues in the past. But I am not used to that. Overall a good experience.

Needs a deep clean

It was spacious and nice having extra room in the bedrooms for suitcases or even a pack n play. It has good storage. However, it seemed as if the cleaning was from the previous renters and someone just came in for linen changes. It desperately needs a deep clean, and some quick fixes to some areas. We could not keep our feet from being completely black just from minimum walking around the condo. There was a q-tip laying on the floor, crumbs all over the kitchen, I found a retainer under a night stand, things were broken but not disclosed, blood on a pillow case, not all sheets/blankets were provided. Dust was collecting in many places. A nice deep clean would make this more enjoyable.
