Solid value which worked well enough as a comfortable one night stop on my road trip. Minus one star though for overall cleanliness, which I would rate as acceptable, but not great: I found small stains on every single pillow; the tub was a bit discolored and showing its age; there was a hair on the shower curtain; and while most of the bedding was clean (which, along with a place being safe and quiet, is what matters most to me), one of the sheets was just straight up dirty with big black soot-like areas/stains. I have no idea how something that large/obvious could be missed, but I just removed that sheet since the rest of the coverings were fine/good. As such I still slept just fine, which, again, is what is most important to me.

Nope, Never Again

We chose this place based on the good reviews….Let’s start off by the fact that the signage on the building does not match the name on Hotels.com. We weren’t sure if we were in the right place. After confirming, we checked in. The place is a bit run down. You can only drive around one side of the building, for some reason they have the other side blocked off. Outside needs some landscaping attention, lots of tall weeds growing and even a hose from a recent plumbing project. First initial impression was “this isn’t too bad” but then we realized it wasn’t very clean. Floors had been swept, but needed to be mopped, our socks were turning brown from the dirt (wiped a section with a damp washcloth to show, see pics) Shower took a long time for the water to get hot, and it would cut in and out from warm to cool. Shower curtains haven’t been washed in a while. Made the mistake of lifting the mattress when taking off the sheets when we left and found a ton of dead bugs under the bed. I’ve stayed in worse, but it’s been a long time….we won’t be back!

The Inn is a small family run motel that is clean, comfortable and welcoming. I stay here every year when I come to visit my brother.

Budget Friendly with a Price

Pros: cute motel from the outside, quick check in, friendly owner, pull right up to room, AC worked well, and room was relatively inexpensive. Cons: very strong disinfectant smell, very firm mattress (maybe 6-8" thick - not good for side sleepers), orange mold on bottom of shower curtain, no hot water (lukewarm, at best, after running it for ten minutes). While I appreciate the owner for rehabbing this old motel, it still needs some work. New plumbing that allows hot water to flow would go a long way toward making this motel more comfortable, and replacing the shower curtain regularly would improve the cleanliness factor.
