Disappointment
I was not going to leave a review because I was taught if you don't have anything positive to say, don't say anything but since they want to unfairly collect an extra 500 Euros 10 days after our check-out, here I am.
First thing, they advertise as air conditioned but only the big living room space has AC which is not adequate for the size of the room, we walked in and it was unbearably hot inside. We brought two 80+ yo family members who had a very hard time the first night sleeping in bedrooms where the temperatures were in the 80's. So, we had to buy a mobile AC unit to make it livable, a significant extra unexpected cost for us. Now, they want to charge us for power consumption... not a joke.
The pool was milky at our arrival, the owner told us that it was because the previous guest messed around with the timer of the pump. We couldn't use it until the 2 last days of our stay and it turned green the day we left. No steps to get in, just a pool later.
They want to charge us for broken locks from sliding doors. At the check out everything was fine, but 10 days later it is not anymore... I guess they figured charging us will pay to replace old stuff they want to replace.
They want to charge us for for a broken piece of wood that was at least 2 decades old, I broke it when I stepped on it setting up the AC we had to buy in order to be comfortable in the house.
They also want to charge for a bent key which is comical. We only used one key from the front door which is a thick square key, impossible to bend.
They want to charge for a broken grating, totally imaginary.
Finally, they want to charge for extra cleaning.... We've been using vrbo for a while and we ALWAYS leave the place as clean as we got it, our received reviews talk for themselves.
My conclusion is that again, they have old stuff they want to replace and they think Americans grow money on trees, or, they are just dishonest people. Either way, the check out was done without any complaints but the broken wooden board, so don't email 10 days later with a shady list of "damage or incidentals" and try charge an inordinate price. They should be paying us for the extra cost of having to buy an air-conditioner so that our vacation was not totally ruined!
Dishonest owners, I would not recommend this place to anyone.
