We have a small pup that joined us and found the enclosed area very nice. A wonderous place and location... Hog Island oyster farm super close as was Nick's Cove restaurant.
We had a lovely stay along with our dog. The enclosed patio was perfect and we had nice sunset walks on the gravel lane. Multiple locations available for kayaking in the bay. The place is just as described inside and outside.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at this charming waterfront cottage. The host has put a lot of care and thought into every detail of the space that gives it a warm, eclectic feel thatâs both stylish and cozy. Highly recommend for a peaceful, scenic escape. Weâre looking forward to coming back.
We've enjoyed a lot of vacations on Tomales Bay, but this one was incredibly memorable! Right in the waterfront, easy reach to Nick's Cove and the Marshall Store, and so comfortable. The host has done an incredible job of building and decorating with textures and art and furniture. Some short-term rentals go for the "generic" but here you find your host has curated the space for the perfect combination of comfort and interest. Its both spacious and cozy, which is a very fine line to draw. Our dogs loved walking on the private road away from traffic, and my wife and I loved the quiet comfort of such a great space. Will definitely return!
The place is very nice and beautifully decorated but we had some issues with ants in the kitchenette as soon as we arrived and again the morning before leaving. We also werenât able to shower because the design of the shower made us feel like the entire bathroom would flood if we ran the water for too long. One of the doors also didnât seem close properly so we felt a little unsafe sleeping at night. There was also a 150 cleaning fee but the space didnât feel like it gets deep cleaned as there was build up in the bathroom sink faucet and furniture being dusty. We were also asked to take out our trash upon departure. Overall a quiet getaway but we wished we couldâve enjoyed the space more comfortably.
This little cottage is chock-full of characterâthoughtfully decorated, cozy, and with an unbeatable view of the bay. You are literally steps from the water, which makes for an incredibly peaceful stay.A few things to keep in mind:The driveway is very narrow, with just one way in and outâbest suited for small vehicles. The kitchenette is perfect for morning coffee or reheating takeout, but not ideal for full cooking.Cell service can be spotty on the drive in, so be sure to download maps or directions in advance. The cottage has a lovely selection of booksâperfect for unwinding. If you can, bring a kayak to fully enjoy the waterfront location. While itâs quiet and relaxing, itâs not completely secludedâthere are neighbors and a shared yard.Overall, a unique and memorable spot to relax by the bay.
It was a comfortable and serene home in an absolutely gorgeous setting. It felt like we had truly gotten away even though we only stayed one night. So grateful
We had such a lovely time here. The place has an amazing view of the Bay right out of the living room. We loved the decor, art, and furniture of this place, the owner has great and interesting taste. If you are here for oysters, this location has great proximity to a few Hog Island locations, just minutes away. But be sure to make reservations in advance, they book up!
