This private four-bedroom, three-bathroom mountain vacation home is located in a quiet community at Massanutten Resort and provides guests with a unique resort experience by pairing quality lodging with exciting on-site and local experience options!

Guests will feel right at home in the spacious, recently updated interior of Massanutten Bear Lodge. Tall ceilings and expansive windows in the living area create an open and inviting connection between the upper and lower levels of the home, while the full kitchen and dining area provide the perfect space for family meals. Guests will also enjoy conveniences like a weight room, a private hot tub, and a screened porch with ample views of the surrounding woods and the local wildlife that frequently pass through the backyard!

This vacation rental house is centrally located for popular resorts and local attractions! Spend your days on the resort skiing/ snowboarding on the slopes in the winter, ziplining at the Family Adventure Park in the summer, or experiencing Massanutten Indoor/Outdoor Waterpark any time of year! Massanutten Bear Lodge guests also receive free access to recreation centers at Massanutten Resort which include amenities like indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and basketball courts, fitness centers, racquetball courts, and so much more. Looking to take your adventures off the resort? The surrounding area is rich with one-of-a-kind experiences. Spend a day hiking and exploring Shenandoah National Park, set out on a kayak or fishing excursion along the Shenandoah River, or discover unique local breweries, wineries, shops, and eateries!

Please note that the passes provided allow access to the following Recreational Centers at no additional cost: Massanutten Fitness & Rec Club includes a fitness room, indoor pool, game room, hot tub, co-ed steam and sauna rooms. Woodstone Recreation includes a game room, indoor basketball court, racquetball courts, indoor & outdoor (seasonal) pool, and tanning bed.

Bike trip in massanutten

we enjoyed our stay, we were 6 adults for a bike trip (7 nights). I would have no problem renting this house again. the negative points: -cleanliness of the beds -there are not enough toilet papers for the stay -only a dish towel -only 2 garbage bags for the kitchen -not enough dish soap for the stay

Falling short on expectations

I was hoping I was not going to have to write a negative review; however, since the company, Tripforth that manages this property, will not respond the issues that we had at this rental, I feel that I have a responsibility to leave one. Shortly after putting burgers on the grill, flames started shooting out from the rental property's grill. The grill was inches from the railing to the deck. It was a very scary comment as we searched for the fire extinguisher. Our dinner was destroyed leaving us to go out a buy dinner for the 9 of us. I contacted the company right away and then followed up the next day regarding this issue, as well as several other safety issues for the property. A week later, I am still waiting for the Tripforth to contact me. Attached are the pictures. As far as the safety issues and that the house needs some TLC, we really enjoyed our stay. It is in a very serene area, and we had plenty of space. The mattress in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great sizes and the furniture and decor were perfect. The laundry room was in a perfect location. Plenty of windows to enjoy the view.

We stayed to hike in Shenandoah. Found a cute BBQ place right down the street and a local brewery a bit farther away for dinner. Plenty in the area, and many things to do within an hour drive.

Will Stay Again!!

Overall a great place to stay. The property is as advertised in the pictures. Loved the layout and plenty of space. Amazing outdoor space and we used the screened in porch, hot tub and fire pit-you will need to bring your own firewood and starters. The living room has floor to ceiling windows with spectacular view but no shades. Can seem a bit like living in a fishing bowl at night. The home provided paper towels, cleaning supplies, TP, bedding/linen. The only issues we had were the lack of towels- sleeps 10 but there were only 8 small towels. No towels provided for the hot tub. Luckily one of the group arrived before most and was able to tell us to bring towels. Two of the mattresses were very firm-we would suggest pillow toppers. The driveway is limited-max number of cars is 4-5, and very narrow with high rock walls on each side! We had 3 mini-vans and it was tight. You are not supposed to park on the streets, there are public parking areas you can leave cars at and shuttle people back to the house. Kitchen had basics for cooking but not a huge selection. If you have specific meals and prep needs I would suggest bringing the kitchen items with you.

Perfect for our Shenandoah get away!

We're two families with kids 6 and under. We used this lovely home for a getaway to do some hiking in the Shenandoah national park. Getting to our hikes took about an hour (it's the nature of getting to the skyline drive and to the trailhead you want), and then we returned to a beautiful home and relaxing hot tub! Resort amenities were available (indoor water park and more), but we did not partake as we had perfect hiking weather. We did a grocery pick up at the Food Lion in Elkton and the home had everything we needed to cook, grill, and serve our party of 8. Home was clean, comfy, and even had an electric fireplace that was heaven to sit next to at the end of the day. Highly recommend!
