Welcome to On The Rocks – Where Comfort Meets Chaos (the fun kind)

Just 2 miles from the water (aka where all the fun happens), our 1,650 sq. ft. hideaway is the perfect combo of woodsy peace and “OMG this place has a hot tub!” vibes. Bring the whole crew—friends, family, that one cousin who never unpacks—we’ve got room.

Got pets? Bring ’em! Just add them to your reservation (we love them, but our cleaners don’t want surprise furballs).

Winter guests: Between December and April, you’ll want a 4WD or AWD vehicle unless you’re into slipping and sliding for sport.

Deep Creek Vacation

Check-in was a breeze. Great location. Quiet surroundings. Kitchen well stocked. Only small glitch was that our coffee drinkers didn’t realize until the am that most of the keurig pods were decaf. Appreciated the flowers, chocolate, nuts, and wine samples. Hot tub was great. Beds were comfortable. Loved the open floor plan. Also enjoyed the deck and outdoor picnic table.

Easy check-in; was clean; plenty of towels/wash rags; hot tub worked great; liked the outdoor lighting (however the timer turned it off early). Recommendations: would be great if you could include some firewood, master bedroom remote did not have batteries. Those were minor, everything else was great. Thank you very much!

On The Rocks was a nice place with a roomy kitchen and pretty living room. It could use some cleaning supplies on hand like a broom, and the appliances struggle a bit (e.g. dryer screeching noise, hot water struggles to keep up, sink in master leaks), but nothing that got overly frustrating for a weeklong stay.

Nice Location!

Nice location close to everything! The place was very clean and had plenty of room. Had a few hiccups with the hot water sulfur smell which was fix in a day!! The other hiccup was the hot tub. Just was not clean to our standards. The owner got the company out to fix but it just honestly needs drained and scrubbed. Owner was very prompt on responding!

Super fun Dog Vaca in Deep Creek!

The property was easy to find and access, and in a great location. A quick 8-minute drive to Shop n Save for groceries. We also got coffee and ice-cream from the same plaza. Cherry Creek Trail was just as a close and a lot of fun to hike especially in the snow. The hot tub was serviced the morning of our arrival and provided a relaxing soak after a long afternoon of hiking. We loved the open floor concept. The kitchen had almost everything we needed to prepare meals. The hand soaps at every sink, paper towels, and toilet paper provided were much appreciated. We also loved the outdoor string lights that were on a timer. The host was in contact with us throughout our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and answer any questions we had. We ended up not using the fireplace although I wanted to and got helpful tips from the host just in case. The king size bed was very comfortable! Although the house was recently updated, there were a few things that could use some maintenance. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. We had a great time!

On the rocks was wonderful!

My family and I have been to Deep Creek several times. This was by far the greatest experience I’ve had with a renter.The communication second to none. Great property close to everything. You need to be close to, but not too close. Would love to return.

Getaway work-cation

Shannon's property nestled amongst the trees was the perfect backdrop for some remote working for the week (wonderfully strong wifi), while enjoying the peace and quiet in the evenings. A well stocked home from the kitchen and living room to the bath and bedrooms meant nothing was overlooked. Shopping and restaurants are about a 6 minute drive and the hot tub on the back deck provided the perfect end to each day. I'd have zero hesitations about staying here again. Thanks for providing us a home away from home that we could enjoy with our 4 legged fur-baby!

Kickback Weekend

This home matched the pictures exactly but even better it’s the small details once you check in. Linens are provided but they are very nice bath towels, each sink has a refillable soap dispenser with great smelling soap, each shower has a bath wash, shampoo and conditioner dispenser, kitchen was stocked with towels, dish rag, new sponge, soap, pods, paper towels, trash bags, living room has lots of games to pick from. I know this may seem silly to most but this just shows a host that took the time to care about the little details just as much as the big ones. Would highly recommend this home. Also host is very polite and quick to answer any questions.

The house and property we a perfect size for us. It is in a great location for visiting shop, restaurants and activities for the kids. We watched the fireworks from the shop and save parking lot and had a great view. We would definitely stay here again. AMAZING STAY!

This stay was absolutely amazing! We had an issue at check-in with dead batteries and the hosts were quick in response and helped us kindly! The house and location made for a relaxing and amazing stay with everything we needed and more! I would say the hosts were the best part of this property, as they were quick to help when needed and checked in about our time and experience while visiting! I cannot say enough thank yous about this whole experience!

Quiet fishing retreat

I am a MD Fly Fishing Guide and I stumbled on to this place when looking for a quality house to rent for a weekend retreat. It was perfect located, for the fly fishing/trout we were looking to do. The house was clean, spacious, inviting, and overall a very good place to stay. They have all the little things from cookware, to linens/towels, toiletries, and more! After a long day on the river it was nice to relax in the hot tub. Shannon was very quick and responsive to any questions I had. I appreciate the note and snacks too. A True Holiday Treat

We were so excited for our post Christmas family getaway and “On The Rocks” totally delivered. The house was nicely decorated for Christmas, which was a huge plus for everyone. Great Spot

We enjoyed our stay here (2 adults, 2 children under 12yrs old, 1 puppy). The neighborhood has a campground feel, which we liked. It’s quiet and secluded, but it’s also only six minutes from the lake, grocery store, gym, and many attractions for the kids. Check-in and out were super easy. We had zero issues with wifi while running multiple devices. The fire pit and lights hanging from the trees around the deck and pit are a nice touch. So too are the logs cut as benches for sitting around the fire. Thanks for having us, Shannon =)
