Entrance to property feels like an alley, trash in streets very close. Pictures look much better than actual hotel, room is spacious but somehow doesn't seem quite functional. Lack of counter space in bathroom, beautiful garden tub but it was literally pushed into a corner. I didn't use the hot tub on the balcony because the balcony has a closed in feeling. You can't see any of medellin from the balcony which a view is the whole point of a balcony. I hate to leave a bad review, but for tourists spending potential thousands on a trip they should have an accurate picture. The breakfast is a basic continental style with few good edible options for adults. It's a smaller hotel I'd guess less than 30 rooms. If you want a great experience in medellin I'd recommend THE MARQUEE, better location, better staff, comfier bed, and much better breakfast

⭐️ 1/5 – Aggressive staff, hidden charges, and discriminatory treatment If you are American, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. My experience at Hotel Selis was unacceptable from start to finish. I specifically booked this hotel only because the room was advertised with a balcony. Upon arrival, my room was switched to a standard room with no balcony and no explanation or compensation was offered. Later that night, I brought a guest back to my room whom I met at a bar. We checked in properly, and at no point was I informed of any additional charge. At 4:00 AM, a hotel employee ran upstairs, banged aggressively on my door, and demanded 200,000 pesos—something that was never disclosed at check-in or beforehand. This was intimidating, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. The next morning at 8:00 AM, the hotel manager repeatedly banged on my door and called my room phone nonstop, waking me up again. This level of harassment is outrageous for a hotel claiming to offer hospitality. At checkout, the problems continued. I was overcharged for multiple guests and items from the minibar I did not use. I had to argue with staff for over 10 minutes just to get my bill corrected. They repeatedly attempted to sneak in extra charges until I pushed back. This hotel is disorganized, aggressive, and appears to take advantage of foreign guests through hidden fees and pressure tactics. Avoid this place entirely. If you’re visiting Medellín, stay at Hotel Du Parc or The Art
