Quirky and Colourful on Foodies Favourite Lygon St
Quirky and colourful describe this gorgeous home, which oozes with character and charm and is located in one of Melbourne`s best cafe and restaurant precincts.
This spacious split-level townhouse, owned by a Melbourne icon (who stays here when not travelling the world), is the perfect adults-only place to stay and enjoy what Melbourne and the local area of Brunswick have to offer.
This top location provides easy access to Melbourne CBD via a direct tram only meters away on Lygon St. There is a laundromat just 1 minute walk away and free (but sometimes time restricted) on-street parking for your convenience.
There are full kitchen facilities, pots, pans, glassware, and crockery, as well as basic kitchen and bathroom supplies. Free and fast wifi is also available with a smart Tv for you to connect any streaming accounts you have.

Everything about this stay was outstanding! The host was very responsive, helpful and personable. The house was very romantic...excellent artwork, fabulous lounge to relax in and wonderful bedroom. The house is also perfectly located...it is walking distance to excellent restaurants (of any and every variety that might take your fancy) and has some fabulous wine-bars and even some live music venues (walking distance but not hearing distance).I commend the house to you without any reservation what-so-ever.
This is a really quirky property with a lot of charm. I wish I could give five stars, because this is clearly someoneâs beloved home, but it needs a few tweaks before itâs fully ready to function as an excellent short term rental. The art on the walls gives the place a lot of character and the bookshelf is great to flick through. We also really appreciated the high quality and comfortable bed linens, which were spotlessly clean as well as the rest of the house when we arrived.Unfortunately we stayed here on the hottest day of summer, and the layout of the property is such that hot air accumulates in the only bedroom, and the house simply isnât equipped to deal with extreme heat days. The whole property is like a time capsule from the 90s, with some of the fittings being quite worn and dated, which adds to the quirkiness, but summers were a few degrees cooler 35 years ago and the property could probably do with a revamp to catch up.The location is great for easy access to the CBD and communication with the host Peter was seamless. Itâs a shame we couldnât be comfortable in this charming home.
Great location and super comfortable. Would recommend. Tram stop right outside so easy to get into the city. Spoiled for choice for restaurants and cafes.
