Great Lodge

We have stayed many times at the lodge the staff,are outstanding. Breakfast has a great selection hot & cold food always nice and fresh and displayed lovely. Bistro area is always nice for quick easy meal and a nice quite drink.

Had a one night stay for a wedding nearby. The bed was very comfy and quiet room with garden view. The reception helped us with taxi information who were very prompt and reliable.

Rooms as stated by photos. Clean and tidy. Breakfast amazing, a little empty though. Check in disappointed when a staff member leaves reception while your still waiting. Not even an acknowledgement, to say why they did not check me in. On departure was excellent until i was charged agian for the room i had paid for months ago. Refunded almost straight away but left me in limbo till it showed in my bank .No communication on that it had been done, originally told maybe 1 or 2 days. Overall good experience. But very expensive.

Good but also not so good

Whilst the accommodation and place itself was lovely we were very disappointed in the food options. The restaurant set menu wasn't to our taste and the bistro had very limited options and if you are vegetarian be happy with char greens and chips. Given Yarra Valley Lodge is out of town I feel more options should be available for different diets. The bistro got very busy because of large groups (who didn't book a table) which made it a very loud place
