The staff were helpful and polite and the room was clean and tidy. However we were not told about the bar indoors near Reception being closed. We knew in advance some pools and outdoor bars would be closed, but this meant that there were no facilities for us to sit in and relax. We did have one coffee in the reception area and this was nice. The outside bar on the opposite side of the street which was part of the hotel, was closed when we visited, and just presumed this was because it was January and therefore quiet. The gym and indoor pool were good and we would definitely come back to this hotel. It’s relaxing in Winter and I’m sure it’s just as nice in Summer.

Room is clean, staff are friendly, pool facilities are nice. The only thing is breakfast can be the same everyday which is ok if you only stay for a short period. We were there 5 nights so the breakfast became boring.

Staff was very nice and the room was clean with all the amenities provided, they also decorated the room for our anniversary which was very nice of them. The hotel breakfast was also amazing and much better value for money then any surrounding places. There is a bus stop and several taxis right outside the hotel. The bathroom door was quite awkward and wouldn't close fully. There is also a lot of noise from neighbouring rooms since they are quite close together.

The room was very clean and spotless, and the bottle of wine and coffee and tea facilities were excellent. We had a couple of minor issues with the room, which were quickly sorted out after informing reception. The aircon could have been better, as it struggled to keep the room to the preferred temperature during the night, and was very noisy when turned up.Great location, great facilities on site 🙂

The hotel was in a great location close to every thing but finding our room was like a rabbit warren and the particular man on reception wasn’t very helpful. They should have told us about the “street level exit” which we eventually worked out.

Lovely clean hotel, with a mulitude of facilities, gym, swimming pools, sauna etc. Good choice of inhouse restaurants. Very clean and looked after hotel. Only one negative, maybe they could have had entertainment for guests on a evening.

The behaviour of the desk staff was appalling, characterised by poor communication and a lack of professionalism. The only employee who demonstrated an understanding of hospitality was Lady Libby, who I believe was the guest relations officer. We had a positive experience at Maritime last year, which is why we decided to return to this hotel. However, we were deeply disappointed by the unacceptable behaviour of the front desk staff towards us.

I chose this hotel for the location near excellent dining options in Mellieha and also the gorgeous rooftop pool with wonderful views across the bay. The room upgrade and lovely features of the room were a bonus. I highly recommend staying here!
