One of the unique features of this vacation rental is the private dock. Bring your own boat or take advantage of our 24-foot pontoon rental for some water fun! The lake beckons you for fishing, swimming, or a serene boat ride at sunset.

The sleeping arrangements are just as luxurious as the rest of the property. Each of the three bedrooms has been designed for ultimate comfort and relaxation to ensure a restful night's sleep. All bedrooms have a TV, as well as ample closet and dresser space. There is a sofa sleeper and a murphy bed too, so six can be accommodated in the bedrooms with an additional three in the extra sleeping areas. There is an additional charge for guest over six. In unit laundry facilities are free.

This home is beautifully decorated and the landscaping outside is also beautiful however the only reason we couldn't put excellant is because of the stairs. 4 out of the 6 of us struggled with the steep and narrow steps with the oldest of the group being 89. The hosts were there quick with any concern we had and we were so appreciative of that. The kitchen is unbelievably stocked, you don't need to bring anything there. August wasn't a good time to go there because of the thick algae in the river channel. It was such a strong green and even smelled like poop most likely caused from heat this summer. There is nothing our hosts could do with the river or the stairs.

Relaxing River Getaway

This was a beautiful home with plenty of room and all the amenities you could need! The bathrooms were gorgeous and the large kitchen was perfect for family meals and game nights! We also spent a lot of time on the “dock” enjoying the water!I would have given a 5 star rating
.there was lack of communication from the host regarding the boat rental. We had planned to rent the pontoon on sight but after asking the host for the contract to sign, she told me they were out of town and could no longer rent the boat for our stay. We were very disappointed. The host did offer other places to look at for rentals but that was not what we wanted to have to do. Just be aware if you are looking to rent the pontoon.

Nice place

Winter is not the best time to visit. A snowstorm hit the day we arrived and the snow removal service didnt come for several days. There was a lot of ice build-up around back sides of house/along driveway and near hot tub and our son fell when trying to get out of vechicle. Great view of river from upstairs window and kitchen.

Wonderful Property with Great Riverfront

The property was wonderful for our sibling couples weekend away. The home has updated amenities and provided great gathering spaces in the kitchen and living room Having three full bathrooms was a huge plus that you won’t find in most rentals of this size. The hot tub was awesome to have, too. We are considering booking sometime again during the summer months to more appreciate the riverfront features, but the wintertime views were pretty amazing. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Property

The home was beautifully decorated with great amenities. We were not able to fully enjoy everything due to being in town for a wedding but would definitely stay here again. The host was very responsive to my questions both before and during the stay. It was an easy drive to all the events we attended in the Fox Valley area.

Family Wedding

We had a family wedding in Appleton and chose the River view Retreat for us, our two adult children and their spouses. The house was spacious, warm and welcoming. We even hosted a pizza party for other family members staying in the area. We loved the River view. Definitely would stay here again.

Great House

What a great place to stay! Location was perfect and kitchen was very well stocked. We had a slight issue with door code and owners answered our call immediately. I would definately recommend! The only suggestion would be to add more dish towels and dish rags, but other than that there is not a thing I would have changed.

Family time

The home was spacious, plenty of room for my family of 6 adults and two children. Not everyone was able to stay for the whole week but there would have been plenty of room if they had. The kitchen was very nicely equipped with everything needed and then some. The bathrooms were very nicely finished and the master shower was huge and looked like something out of a magazine! The furniture was comfortable, including the outdoor furniture. We did rent the pontoon for the weekend, unfortunately it was rainy and very windy on the lake so we were only able to use it for a couple of short trips. It was expensive for limited use but we were happy that it was available since we had a large group and two small children. Location was easy to get to and close to all the amenities. The restaurant on the corner "The Old Grog" had a great Friday night fish fry! The Batterman's were great hosts and were available for any questions or concerns we had. Overall it was a good experience and would definitely recommend it. Also loved that it was dog friendly with a fenced in yard!
