Peaceful Retreat
Peaceful getaway with only the sounds of the river bubbling and leaves rustling. This property was perfect for a much needed respite. It is both in the middle of no where but also a short drive to the small town of Mentone. The house is beautifully furnished and incredibly well kept. We were there in the spring so the adjacent ski resort and girls camp were empty, but imagine the private property with gate gives you quite a bit of privacy even when they are occupied. The River access and covered bridge are as advertised and were a wonderful bonus to the property. The cabin description was accurate and these were not issues for us, but renters should be aware that there is no cell service or WiFi. A landline is available for emergencies. The kitchen is small with basic supplies (no dishwasher) but large family meals would be a challenge. Part of the cabin will be locked off if you are not paying the charge for additional occupancy. The road in is gravel with a few washed out places. Just drive carefully.
Overall, we loved the property and our stay. Would definitely stay again.
