This is an absolutely stunning hotel, I love how the old and the new combined in such harmony. Comfortable room, good mattress and pillows, great service, amazing shower. The restaurant on the second floor is very good, we ate there 3 times. Overall a great stay!
This is a lovely hotel in a historic building. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the on-site restaurant was excellent. Downside, our room was interior without a window, the a/c was quite noisy. The location in city center is convenient to historic sites and metro but not a very pretty area for strolling around.
Excellent historical feel and appearance. The staff was very friendly, kind and accommodating. VIP welcome and complimentary drinks were perfect. Restaurant was awesome and food was delicious. If I come back to Mexico City I will definitely book my stay here.
It was great! Stayed in the presidential suite and it was well worth it! The hotel is modern yet it has a classic antique fill. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Service and staff were great. Good location if you’re looking to explore downtown area within walking distance to many historical sites and museums as well as very good restaurants including Tezontle at the rooftop of the hotel!! Highly recommend
Very beautiful hotel with so much character. Located in a convenient but also vibrant area of the city. When I was lodging there were protest making it hard to get to but I'm sure it's great minus the protest. Highly recommend. Price point was great for the amenities, location, and service.
I loved my stay at Casa de la Luz! I truly felt like a welcomed guest. From the front desk staff, housekeeping, and restaurant staff, everyone was hospitable willing to go above and beyond. The property is so unique and found beauty in it.
The restaurant was really tasty for dinner and had a good selection for breakfast. The property is conveniently located in the historic center with close proximity to museums, the cathedral, and buses/train lines.
We had a delightful stay at this charming hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. Very good restaurant too. We'll be back!
This hotel provided excellent service, beautiful colonial architecture, and clean rooms. The location was not luxurious, but it was very convenient and we felt safe.
The most beautiful hotel and wonderful staff! They were all so gracious and accommodating!
I was nervous as this was our first trip to Mexico city and our Spanish is not the best :)
But the staff spoke excellent english.
The breakfast and restaurant in general were out of this world.
The building was originally constructed in 1537 which blew my mind. The room was modern and high end.
The only 4/5 stars item was not about the hotel, but the street it was on. It is on a very busy turn around street that is only one lane, but has 2 ways of traffic, so picking up a uber up front was difficult and required some spanish to help the driver figure out where to go. And it is a metro right there, so there were a lot of people loitering and a lot of police, but it did not feel unsafe, it is just something to be aware of.
We would 1000% stay there again! We would just walk to the end of the block to order an uber :)
The room was huge and comfortable. On a noisy street but windows and doors were great at sealing noise out. Breakfast was so delicious. Gorgeous old building very well renovated and kept. Very pleased!!!
