Skye Cottage at Hillside Hideaways-1BR/1BA w/Loft- in Amish Country

Skye Cottage at Hillside Hideaways is the perfect romantic retreat for honeymoons, anniversaries, or simply enjoying quality time together in Amish Country. With amenities such as catch-and-release fishing, and campfires (we provide the firewood), this cottage is ideal for couples, families, and friends. It features one full bathroom and three queen beds, including one private bedroom with a queen bed and a loft bedroom with two queens.
Additionally, we offer a convenient 1:00 PM checkout on Sundays.
Please note that pets and house parties are not permitted.
Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage. If we find evidence of smoking indoors, an additional $300 cleaning fee will be charged.

The cabin and the scenery was gorgeous! The cabin was clean and very cozy. We got to view horses and wild turkeys during our stay. We can't wait to return in July! 10 out 10 rating!!!

Skye Cottage was beautiful and comfortable, and located right between Millersburg and Berlin. It was the perfect peaceful getaway.

My husband and I came here Friday to celebrate his birthday weekend and friends joined us Saturday. We were all impressed with the location, amenities provided and cleanliness of the cabin. Everything was perfect, and we are already talking about returning to this place.

Beautiful as always. Although windy, I was finally able to sit on the deck for a bit Friday evening (Prior visits were rainy days.). And there as a baby horse to admire on the drive in.Thanks for a great cabin!

Way Better Than Described

We had such a relaxing stay! We enjoyed fire pit and picnic table most of the days we were there. Sitting on the porch watching the horses was great! Our kids watched them from inside too! We made most of our meals while there, other than needing scissors it had everything! Cannot wait to go back!!

Wonderful...

We stayed in Skye cabin for most of the past week and everything about it was exceptional. I never leave reviews, but would be remiss not to share some comments from such an enjoyable visit. Fran and Ivan were extraordinary hosts, the location was very convenient and the surrounding beauty was amazing. This experience was memorable for all of the right reasons.

Skye Cottage

My first stay at Skye Cottage and it was great. It was just me in the main floor bedroom, but there are two beds in loft. Just one bathroom but doable for a group of friends or small family. Ended up being a windy chilly weekend so wasn't able to sit on the deck but looking forward on returning when it's warmer to do that.

Quiet time

This was probably the cleanest place we have stayed. Pictures are true to the propery. If you're looking for serenity, this is it.The deck on the back looks over a pond and hillsides full of trees. Short 10-12 minute drive to town.

Great Experience

The cabin was beautiful. A lot of times when we stay in these rental homes you can tell that all the little things like dishes towels and pots and pans are cheap and things you might just pick up here or there but not here. All the furnishings were well thought out and very high quality. The home was very clean and neat. We highly recommend staying here and we plan on coming back!

Ideal Amish Country Getaway

My wife and I stayed for two nights at the Skye Cottage, and what can I say other than everything we perfect? It's a great location with a wonderful view of the pond and distant hills, and the cottage itself is clean, cozy, comfortable and well-put-together. We appreciate the full-size fridge and dishwasher, and the dimmer lightning (combined with the fireplace) is a nice touch. Many thanks to the hosts for making this a beautiful experience!

Mothers Day weekend getaway

I have been raving about this place since we arrived. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, so clean and beautifully decorated. The atmosphere outside from the pond to the horses to the beautiful view of just mountains of trees and sky. Who could ask for anything more. It was so peaceful and relaxing. My mother, my self and my daughters had a weekend filled with wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. We definitely will be back!

Such a beautiful place to stay. Conveniently located near Berlin, Oh which seems to be the heart of Amish country. The home was emaculant. The owners are on the property if you need anything. We tried fishing a couple times, but nothing was biting. The pond was also well maintained and we were able to sit right at the edge of it. Only 2 adults stayed in the larger cabin, but it could hold a family of 4-5 comfortably. On another note, take the back roads to see the actual Amish/Mennonite communities, their homes, and their farms. There is alot of beautiful countryside you miss staying on the main routes and in the cities.
