Not so good and not so bad

I called the hotel number for at least 45 minutes and multiple times…the desk did not answer I was struck at the airport for an hour waiting I was not told when I got to the location that the airport shuttle stopped running at eleven for pick ups That should be stated in the write up The desk gentleman said that the phone was so low in volume that he didn’t hear it… After multiple tries? I think that he was behind the front and not at the front I asked if he was sleeping? The front entrance to my room was dirty However the room itself was fine and the bed was good and the bath was nice The place was a bit sterile It was a business travelers place, I felt It was good to learn that this Marriott is not a corporate hotel but instead is a franchise Thus it would do no good to let the corporation know what you did not like My room had an totally obstructed view as seen in my photos

There are a tons of stores very close by — Starbucks, Trader Joe’s, Perkins, Whole Foods! It is newly renovated, I enjoyed my stay and felt very safe.

Customer service was good and friendly. A ceiling tile had fallen near the exercise room entry way, and was not immediately cleaned up, but a bucket was placed to catch water leaking from ceiling. They ran out of laundry detergent, and it was still not replaced in the morning. However, overall it was ok.

The room was beautiful and exceptionally clean, which I truly appreciated. However, there was no view from the window, which was a bit disappointing. One of the nightstands also had a maintenance issue—it kept sliding open on its own. I tried calling the front desk multiple times (from both the room phone and my personal cell phone) to schedule an airport shuttle for the following morning. Unfortunately, I was on hold for over 45 minutes and was never able to reach anyone. The next morning, the shuttle driver almost didn’t allow us on board, stating there was no reservation under my name. I explained that I had attempted to call the night before but couldn’t get through. The shuttle was nearly full, which made the situation even more stressful. Overall, while the room itself was lovely, the service and communication around the shuttle could definitely be improved.

This was our second time staying at the Courtyard Edina Bloomington, and it did not disappoint. We like the location as it is close to shopping, has free parking, and the rooms are clean. This is a great spot for the price you pay. We look forward to our next stay.

Two night stay for medical procedure. We stayed in a comfortable two room suite. Perfect bedding, good climate control, daily cleaning. The sitting room side of the two room suite was very badly lit. otherwise really a perfect situation.

Honestly, the stay wasn’t that bad. But it was mediocre for a hotel with the “Marriott” name attached to it. I understand it isn’t a full fledged Marriott, but there is still a lot of room for improvements. The check in was fast and easy. But it was quite loud because of all the children running around the lobby for some reason. The room is very basic. Fine but not great. Some cons about the room: TV mount was broken and angled weirdly. Pretty bad scratches on the desk. Wall switches that don’t do anything or that are labeled “Keep on” for some reason. Basically every single bathroom fixture was loose. Air-con turns itself up in the middle of the night so I woke up hot. Absolutely NO noise cancellation built into this room so you will hear every single noise in the hallway through the door. We could even hear the ice machine all the way down the hall. Mini fridge wasn't functioning properly even on max cold setting and kept things maybe around 50 degrees only (needs to be below 40 to refrigerate properly). No microwaves in the rooms, which is ridiculous. Community microwave worked fine though. Shower was nice at least. Good selection of shampoo/body wash. The staff were friendly and helpful at least. No problems there. Overall take your hard earned money elsewhere. There are much better options for the same money all around the city.
