We were staying as part of a wedding group. One of the guests walked in on people in his room - in a compromised position! The front desk staff didn’t seem concerned & said they checked in with id. ?? That wasn’t my personal experience but it did remain on my mind wondering if someone would accidentally walk into our room. There is no room service I ordered a hamburger & it was terrible The restaurant bartender is also the front desk person some of the time - running back & forth I don’t recommend staying here.

We had a great experience at Hyatt Downtown St. Paul. All the staff we interacted with were very nice, welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and beautiful with the tall ceiling and drapes that open with the push of a button. Loved having two sinks in the bathroom. It was overall, a very quiet, peaceful stay, no thin walls where you can hear your neighbors having conversations… a huge plus! Breakfast was good and a nice variety. The only inconvenience was not having a microwave in the room but, they have one in the breakfast area we used. Parking was a little inconvenient as well, we opted out of paying $39/day for valet but, minimal street parking and other ramps are available. We found a garage for $4 on the weekends, which was very affordable and less than a block from the hotel entrance.

What my husband and I enjoyed most about this hotel is the decor and friendly staff. Everything else was average. Improvement would be room service and daily housekeeping. Also, this building is kinda cool but the view from the 5th floor was blocked by a brick wall. The room was presented as a high floor but it felt like we were in a basement. this hotel
