Although the hotel was not ready upon check the staff went above and beyond to make us happy and upgraded us. Unfortunately the hotel was quite run down and not overly clean. It seems to be a staffing issue particularly through a busy weekend.

We booked a double queen room, the hotel was overbooked and we were given a king room with a pull out sofa and a roll away. Nothing was said to us during check in, just a surprise when we opened the door to our room.

When we checked in, we were not informed that our room was given away and we were substituted for a room that wasnt equivalent. When entering the room, it was over powered by the smell of cigarette smoke, the physical room was dirty, black mold on the walls, bloody boogers on the comforter, dirty sheets, and the fridge was full of gunk and food remnants. We were able to get our refund back through hotels.com but now the hotel has charged us for the room and theres no way to contact the hotel.
