đViews for Days! Welcome to the Missoula Lookout! đ
5 bedrooms 4 bathrooms Living room Dining room Huge Great room Updated large kitchen Views Sousa trail outside front door Off a private road Sauna Huge jetted tub Ping pong Air hockey Games Huge patio space Views for days
Our modern farmhouse mountain home has the most beautiful view of Missoula and yet so close to downtown and the university. There is so much space inside (5000 square feet) with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms to make your stay comfortable. The formal living room, separate dining room, and huge great room including a family room, eating area, and breakfast nook along with a huge kitchen with top of the line appliances will help make you all feel at home away from home. Outside our home you will find plenty to do without even driving with a hiking trail outside the front door that leads to the Sousa Trail and the Barnmeyer Loop with an overlook that will take your breath away along with connections to the new Dean Stone Mountain trail (over 12 miles of hiking trails). It has the best of both worlds- Montana mountain life, yet close to everything downtown Missoula has to offer!
Absolutely beautiful place to stay! Very comfortable and lots of room. The view is incredible and location great. Loved the nearby hiking trails. Joy was very communicative and personable. Would definitely stay there again.
If you're looking for the perfect place to stay in Missoula that is modern, clean, has plenty of room, and with a view that won't quit? This is the place to stay. We had a gathering of friends and family, six of us in all, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. It had everything we needed and more. The owners were easy to communicate with, and responded right away to our questions. 5 stars, across the board.
We really wanted to love this house. It has an amazing location up on the hill overlooking the whole valley. The house is huge and has lots of room for spreading out and several rooms too. The first thing we noticed was that the front door doesn't shut completely unless you use the bolt lock. This was a little inconvenient. There are so many light switches to use and some don't seem to go anywhere just a little confusing. The fireplace in the room with the piano and up in the bedroom weren't working but we did enjoy the one in the family room along with the air hockey table. We tried using the Sauna but the temperature, even after adding more time, never really got hot enough to get a good sweat. We also wanted to use the bikes, but both of their tires were flat and there was no pump to use. In one room upstairs there is a hole in the ceiling where you can see insulation and into the attic along with a hole in the wall behind the chair. Several of the cabinets don't shut correctly and many of them had glue put on them which looked a little bit tacky. We also enjoyed the firepit outside the last night as the wood provided was nice and dry and caught very quickly. I think this place could be really nice with a little TLC and I do realize it is a rental, I just think for the price tag that things could be in better shape and amenities that are being provided should work properly.
This property is so spacious and the views are truly stunning. Thereâs something about having your ears pop from altitude when you drive home from town that makes this a first for us.
This home was huge, with most amenities that we needed, a beautiful location, and space to play games and visit in small groups, and just enjoy being together.
The location was private but conveniently close to town. You canât beat the views and the layout of the house was perfect for our group of nine. Thereâs a walking trail close to the house plus a well stocked entertainment area with an air hockey game. We really enjoyed our stay.
Held a small team retreat here and we had a wonderful time. The views were excellent. Communication with the host was great, she kept us informed of any changes or details we needed to know in a timely manner. Thanks again!
This property was perfectâŠ
Amazing location, great views, and trail access.
Great house layout and patio, with plenty of space
Every accommodation you can think of - toiletries, kitchen appliances, cooking accessories, fans, pack n play and high chair !!
Our family of five had a wonderful weekend !
Unfortunately, due to a crazy wind storm, the house did not have power but the owner was so great about communicating with me and working to refund me due to this force of nature causing us to find alternative plans. The host was great to work with and I hope I can rent the house in the future!
We had a great time staying at this beautiful property! Host provided helpful directions, we had no issues checking in, and we loved the patio and all the game options. We were a bit disappointed that the floors and showers didnât appear to have been cleaned thoroughly before our stay and that one of the showerheads in the bathroom did not work, but in general we had a great time and it worked well for our group.
We gathered family from Maine, Florida and Utah for a wedding in the area. The home accommodated our large group comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped to cook our meals together and the patio offered amazing views at all times. Deer frequent the property and drink from the pond! Some from our group chose to hit the trail leaving from the driveway. All around we had a wonderful time in the home. No complaints.
Property is very nicely appointed and equipped. First floor bedroom and bath were perfect for my elderly mother. Communication with the owner was responsive and appreciated. Lovely views. Wish we had better overall weather but that canât be planned!
This was perfect for our family to stay for our nephewâs wedding. Great location with plenty of room and amazing views. Joy was wonderful to work with.
We had a great time at this beautiful home! Very comfortable house with an unbelievable view. We even had deer in the backyard many mornings. The host was very quick to respond to the only question I had about the fireplace. Will probably stay again.
We loved our Stay! We were in town for parents weekend at the University of Montana. The house was impeccably clean, very well stocked and close to the campus. We enjoyed the outdoor deck with the fire pit, card games and all nine of us enjoyed movies on the roomy couch. The views from all of the windows were amazing!
This large home was perfect for our 8 guy fishing getaway. Beautiful rooms, great room, patio and amazing view of the Bitterroot valley. Looking forward to coming back
Our family from all over met up in Missoula for a Griz football game and stayed at the Lookout. The house is huge and comfortable and easily accommodated our group with lots of beds and bathrooms. Everyone loved the house and how clean it was. The best part for me personally was the communication with the owner. She even helped out after my stay when I thought I lost my watch there (turns out I packed it). She was wonderful. If we do this trip again, we'll definitely book the Lookout!
