Overpriced for the quality. We enjoyed the beautiful architectural design of Julia Morgan. But the property is not well maintained, and it hasn’t been updated inside the rooms. Our room has icky water leak marks at the ceiling and peeling wallpaper. The price is too high for a simple room with no television, coffee maker, microwave, or fridge.

Love the ocean, so did not spend a lot of time in room. Room was clean and warm. Never been there before but now know what to expect. Was not happy with check out experience. Got charged twice upon checking account on my card.

The rooms are outdated and there is no TV but other than that it was an amazing stay. Great atmosphere and customer service. Beautiful scenery and great food.

We paid for an upgraded room. It hadn’t been updated in 50 years. Sink faucet dripped all night. Counter was chipped. Tile surround in tub was moldy. Floor by bathtub was damaged. The room stunk of mildew and old fireplace smoke when we first walked in. Could hear the plumbing and fan in room above us. It did feel safe and had a good view out the slider.

I love Asilomar. Perfect location. Beautiful architecture. Magical grounds. Easy walk to the beach. Breakfast is fantastic too. But there was a mix-up with our room, and although we were upgraded, the front desk staff wasn't very friendly or understanding. Also, the blinds in our bedroom were missing their rod so we couldn't shut them all the way to block out light for sleeping.
