The place was truly amazing. If you are looking for a unique piece of history that has breathtaking views and a wow factor of staying in a 14th century castle then this is your place. I would not put it in the category of âluxuriousâ but it is very nice. The pool is nice, the restaurant is nice (the Asian/italian fusion place down the hill is amazing).
We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed our stay. There were things that could have been improved on⊠For example, there was nowhere to get breakfast or lunch. The nearest town is a good little hike down a hill and back up with groceries so having a car is a must. We used the local bus line and it was inconvenient. It would be great if they could provide a continental breakfast or even a vending machine for snacks/water. The castle itself was beautiful. The grounds and swimming pool were very much appreciated. And the castle even has a wonderful restaurant serving dinners every night but Tuesday.
