Secluded cabin in Red River Gorge with a Hot Tub and wi-fi
Wanderland cabin is a one bedroom with a loft. It has one king size bed and two queen size beds. Enjoy the gas log fire place, Jacuzzi, Wi-Fi, Roku internet TV and the hot tub on the large deck. There is good cell phone reception available. Sit on the porch while you grill out and take in nature. Front wheel drive required. It is set in the woods with a wooded view. There is a steep black top hill and a paved driveway. Front wheel drive required and 4 wheel drive recommended. Not motor cycle friendly. Maximum 1 pet. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHECK IN IS AT OUR OFFICE AND DIRECTIONS WILL BE SENT WITH YOUR CONFIRMATION.
The check in process was really easy, there was an incline to the drive, which we knew about, not sure itâs possible without a truck. The hot tub was disguising when we arrived, but they came back right away and kind of fixed it. I was still a bit grossed out so didnât use. The dishwasher was also broken, which made a vacation with children a pain in the butt (because they expect u to do all dishes before you leave). No storage space for food in the kitchen. Internet did not work, despite many reboot attempts. Side door knob was broken & The king size bed felt like it had a cavernous spot in it. The fire pit was much smaller than I expected and on an incline. Hard to use! If youâre willing to put up with a lot of little inconveniences & BS for a lot of money then this is the place for you. Location was also just ok.
The management did not accept responsibility for the heat not working on our last night. We woke up and the cabin was 38 degrees. She said, sorry you did not know how to turn up the heat... The nerve... And yes, I know how to work a thermostat!!
We loved this property! We had so much fun hiking around the cabin. Management was friendly and quick to respond on getting the WiFi working. Highly recommend this cabin if you like secluded and relaxing. Great proximity to all the big trailhead and of course nada tunnel! Husband and I will definitely be renting again!
This cabin was extremely hard to find and navigate up the very steep driveway. Plenty of ants and spiders. The trash can was still full. Smaller than I expected, I donât think I would choose this again for our family ( of 3) vacation. And the dishwasher did not work, it had been disconnected.
We had a wonderful weekend at Wanderland. Everything was great. Finding the place was rough because there are no signs and you have to go up a very steep road that looks more
like a creek bed. Our minivan made it, but it was rough.
It's a very peaceful setting and conveniently located as far as hiking trails in the RRG.
We enjoyed that we was close to the hiking trails and sites. The area had a lot to explore and the drive to get to places was not far. People were nice and welcoming. It would be a tough climb to get to the cabin without an SUV or Truck but we enjoyed our stay. It was secluded and relaxing.
Had a nice time. Great place for a three day weekend
Could use some updating and tlc. Wasnt a issue but there was only enough seat place for 3 people to watch tv.
All in all it was fine and we enjoyed our stay.
The property was as listed. Hot tub was really nice. We has an amazing time. The road up to the property was a bit scary but besides that it was all amazing. Would stay again.
We loved the cabin. It was very clean, cute, and cozy! The bed was really comfortable and Leslie and Mike were so nice! We will definitely be renting from them now on!
Staying at this property for 5 days we had an overall great experience. Reading previous reviews there were alot of similar complaints and I would like to share my opinion. The "intense driveway requiring a 4x4 vehicle" is not bad at all if you have decent driving skills. We drove a front wheel drive Mercedes Benz sedan up and down all week no problem. The neighbors do have a dog that barks frequently but nothing that a bluetooth speaker couldn't fix right away. Yes there were some ants and hornets but you're vacationing in their day to day home so honestly what do you expect. Again we had a wonderful experience and I highly suggest this cabin for anyone on the fence.
The cabin is great and secluded which is what I was looking for. The driveway is true terrible and you definitely don't want to try it with anything less than 4x4. The hot tub was very relaxing and wifi very spotty at times. We enjoyed our stay but it wasn't perfect. The cabin is loaded with ants, it has mice inside and hornet nests all around the outside. The door knob is falling off, the front door is cracked, puts and pans are in bad shape. The chair and loveseat are very worn but the beds are very comfy. All in all it was a good experience and a great area to visit.
