Stunning, contemporary, dog friendly holiday home - The Cosh

The Cosh is a stunning example of modern architecture in the countryside; a converted Dutch barn is now a Cotswold holiday home which sleeps 12 guests, in six spacious bedrooms, with five bathrooms. The remarkable open plan living space on the ground floor is flooded with natural light and contemporary interiors; this continues into the exquisite family room on the first floor, which has a balcony with views over the countryside. Set amongst a working farm, the garden backs onto a brook, with a beautiful shepherd's hut and lawn for guests and their four-legged friends to enjoy.

This six bedroom holiday home near Blockley is perfectly suited for those looking to get together with family and friends, exploring the local countryside and eateries. The accommodation is laid out as follows:

Relaxing and enjoyable stay at The Cosh

A group of friends met at the Cosh for a relaxing weekend get together. Every guest was very impressed with the accommodation, everything we needed was provided. We loved our stay and the layout meant that we could retreat and spend time alone or with our friends. We loved the open plan layout and the space it provided. The location was just what we needed for peace and quiet and the opportunity to catch up.

We had a family gathering to celebrate birthdays and to get togther all in one place.

We had a fabulous time. The weather was beautiful so it was good to be able to take advantage of the plentiful outdoor seating areas. Pool and table tennis helped keep the younger members of the party (12 and 14) occupied when not out exploring the area, asdid the stream. (we became intrepid explorers). As it was so hot the local Co-op ran out of ice so we would have appreciated some ice cube trays. We hope to return some time.

Fabulous property for a multi-generational family get together

We could not have found a better place for a family get together. The Cosh provides everyone with their own bedroom and bathrooms, and has fantastic entertaining spaces - and we were there in the depths of January - it offers even more for the better weather months with outdoor spaces too.

Wonderful venue for a weekend away

We had a wonderful long weekend at the Cosh. As a group of university friends - now all in our 60s - it had everything you could possibly need - lots of space and different places to sit and catch up with friends. Dog friendly, and great location for exploring the Cotswolds. Would definitely recommend - we voted it the best place we have stayed in so far on our annual meet-up.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay and overall the cottage was lovely and nicely decorated. My main feedback is that we were not impressed with the cleanliness as dishes were dirty as was the kettle. There was also a lot of dust and cobwebs so the cleanliness let this cottage down.

Perfect for a family weekend

We really appreciated everything The Cosh had to offer for a whole family stay. There was plenty of room for all ages (upstairs was the youngsters' base) and the table tennis and pool were invaluable. Kitchen facilities were excellent, breakfast bar the centre of grazing for the permanently hungry. Bedrooms good, bathrooms really nice. The support from Deb and Susan was excellent - they went out of their way to help. We had a dog with us and wondered if some sort of temporary/flexible fencing could be available to block off the lawn so that we could create a confined space and be able to leave the side door open?

Great Week

Weekend stay at The Cosh with friends

This was a great venue for our annual girls weekend getaway. We all loved the open plan, contemporary feel of the Cosh. It was equipped with everything we required making it both a practical choice as well as having a touch of luxury. During our stay we visited The Western Arms pub in the village for lunch which we would also recommend. Overall a great venue.

Excellent Stay

We were a party of 7 adults and 2 children. There was so much room for all of us. Excellent house with great size en suite bedrooms.An amazing through room downstairs, Perfect for us! A stunning place with a beautiful stream behind it. Everything we needed was supplied, in a huge kitchen which was great! Thoroughly recommend this house and we would love to visit in the summer to enjoy the garden.

Fabulous house for family stays

A bright warm well equipped house perfect for large family groups where everyone got space and a bathroom. Easy living and very sociable experience. Good location. Owners were very helpful and showed us their resident horses and sheep which the children loved. Great birthday weekend.

Perfect place for a get together

Seven of us used The Cosh for 5 nights for a reunion and celebration of our 70th birthdays. It was very comfortable with lots of places to sit and chat both inside and out. The beds were comfortable and whole the place was well equipped.with everything that we needed. Blockley is a pretty village with a lovely community cafe which we used on our final day.

Comfortable surroundings and great social areas for relaxing with a large group of friends. Lovely views from 1st floor sitting room & balcony. Well stocked with games/books & pool table if not walking around lovely country side from your doorstep.

Amazing barn! Probably the best place I’ve ever stayed at. Super clean and the host thought about every last detail. They even made us a cake! I thoroughly enjoyed it and me and my family are definitely coming back! Thanks again for having us. 10/10
