The Good Life lodge is situated on 3 acres where you can escape the hustle and bustle of life and enjoy all that nature has to offer. Whether you are looking for a memorable family vacation or a romantic getaway this is the place for you.

The Good Life Lodge is located just minutes away from downtown Blue Ridge where you can enjoy activities like the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, Blue Ridge Lake, Blue Ridge Adventure Park and Expedition Bigfoot! Sasquatch Museum. Blue Ridge and nearby areas offer a variety of delicious restaurants and unique shopping!

4th July week

House and property beautiful oven and toaster oven did not work ac did not really work on upper level unless rest of house was freezing cold power went out when went to circuit board to reset open door to huge electrical bolt scared the s out of me if these items were fixed though best experience of our families lives.

Better Break

We enjoyed our time but there were few missing items on the property especially in the kitchen. Though owner was very prompt communicating but kitchen was almost incomplete. Place was clean including baths, linens etc. Some positives - Great location - Clean - Prompt communication from owner Negative points - We really struggled in the kitchen. There were hardly any glassware, no wine or whiskey glasses, no wine opener, couldn’t find extra trash bags, etc etc.

Christmas in Blue Ridge

The location was perfect for our Christmas in the mountains. The home had everything we needed and more. The fireplace, hot tub and fire pit added to the ambience of the home. It was very clean and all of the comforts of home were provided. Everyone had their own bedroom and the home was spacious enough for a big group. The Christmas tree in the living room made it extra special. It was conveniently located near places we wanted to visit. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice Home

It’s a nice home. The interior had good furniture and fixtures. Was in good repair. The description was accurate and we found everything we expected at the house. The stream featured in the photos is a scenic area image and not on the property. But we found some other places to go that were within a 15 minute drive. The area, attractions and shopping with in a 25 minute drive offered a great variety. We were there during a rainy time and the yard was muddy. Had to pay extra attention to kids and shoes coming in.

Great Family Get-Together!

The house was a perfect fit for our family get-together. We had enough space to spread out. We loved the screened in porch for playing cards and the wrap around deck provided great views from every side keeping us dry during a somewhat wet weekend. The town of Blue Ridge is adorable and a quick drive from the home.

Short Family Vacay

This place was amazing. The screened in back porch was the perfect place to sit and drink coffee or for my family to play cards. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the master bath. Everything was perfect for us.

We found this house to be just what we needed. Was a short drive to Blue Ridge but still secluded enough. House had sufficient kitchen amenities as well as a huge abundance of towels and blankets which was a huge plus. We would definitely recommend this property!

Relax! Relax! Relax!

I was surprised by little things that other cabins don’t offer like handsoap, dish detergent, etc. It was a nice touch. They also gave you enough towels. We made use of a little area the owners use to make smores and the kids loves it. Beds were comfortable. And the trash pick up. We did not know when the trash came so we were surprised to pass one on the way home. We were thinking we would have put out the cans had we known but they emptied them anyway. What service!!! My recommendations to the owners would be to label light switches and leave a welcome book that gives information on what you would like done before departure, how to work shower (we had fun trying to figure that out), fireplace, etc and maybe local things to do.

Beginning of anniversary week

This home is great for big families. Lots of room & not crowded. Big outside area. Beautiful & quiet. 10 mins from downtown Blue Ridge, grocery store about 5 mins. Master bed room was comfortable. We enjoyed the house for our short stay.
