Wonderful winter stay and start to the new year.
The house provided comfort, location was stunning. We were treated to snow during our stay so was purely magical. The house provided everything we needed, felt like a proper home from home. This was our first stay in the North East, can’t wait to visit again in the spring, autumn seasons.

It's a great house in an amazing location with a nice garden overlooking the beach.
We had a great time there. Also the village was really lovely, especially the Pele Tower and the Walled Garden. We hope to come back.

Everything you want for a great family beach holiday
Everything you want for a great family beach holiday. Good accommodation. Directly onto the beach, well equipped, good utility space and drying for wet kids and dog, sandy feet, towels etc. Great places to visit, great fish and chips in Amble, supermarket nearby. Beach is lovely, swimming, rock pooling, running, walk to lunch spot at the Drift. Lots of eating out options in Amble. House kitchen has everything you need to cook and eat in. Can’t fault it.

Lovely sunset views
The location was perfect for us as we were attending a party at an event barn nearby. The whole party enjoyed being next to the ice cream shop! The beach was lovely - amazing sunrises over the sea. The property had everything we needed
Enjoyed the quiet and closeness to the amazing beach, with endless perfect sand. Visited a number of local castles and sights and then back to the cozy living room and real fire at night

Simply stunning
One of the best locations we’ve stayed in. Loved sitting in garden watching the sea and birds. Gorgeous beach to walk along. Everyone friendly. Beautiful house with lovely decor and everything we needed.
Remove two plants and add an arm chair to lounge.

Our stay at Cresswell House was everything we wanted and needed
Our stay at Cresswell House was everything we wanted and needed. After being let down from another property we urgently need a place for the family to spend Christmas. The team at Finest Retreats were quick in responding, friendly and helpful with an early check ins crisis averted! Cresswell House is a fantastic place, right on the beach for long walks. Inside there is a great amount of space which was perfect for our Christmas gathering. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Be by the BeCh
Accommodation perfect for our needs, great kitchen/bathroom and access to beach.
There were a lot of cobwebs in the house that suggests not cleaned thoroughly. Windows could do with a wash, nothing like bird poo to put you off the view and double bed in front room very uncomfortable- as noted by other guests.

Cresswell House
We stayed at Cresswell House with our 1yo daughter, our friends and their 18month old daughter. The house was absolutely perfect for two young families - large, open plan living / kitchen space and a second sitting room. The bathroom was large and clean and the bedrooms were well situated and nicely presented. We enjoyed the very short (2 mins) walk onto the beach - the scenery was beautiful. Neighbouring towns were easily accessible by car which suited us perfectly with the children. We’ll definitely return for our next joint family trip

Cresswell House
We booked this accommodation to be close to the beach with our labrador and it was perfect. A short walk, down dome stairs takes you to a beautiful beach that stretches for miles our Labrador thought he was at Disneyworld. The house was as good as the location. It's a period cottage but it had been upgraded inside with a moden kitchen and bathroom. Lovely decor and they had even put up a Christmas tree which, along with the mince pies, made us feel at home straightaway. There is nothing we were disappointed with and we are already planning our next visit.

Great place to stay!
The house was very well equipped and a great size! Perfect location, couldn't really be any better. The kids loved their rooms and the bathroom was really lovely. We really enjoyed and our stay amd can't wait to come back.
The lights in the living room are very temperamental. They dim and brighten in their own, some rimes wouldn't switch in and sometimes turned themselves off. Maybe worth having a little look at. But it didn't stop us from having the best week.

Great find
We spent a lovely week at Cresswell House, location to the beach is perfect
We had plenty of room for 6 people and the accommodation overall was great
Loved the little garden over looking the beach and the ice cream shop next door is superb
Just a couple of niggles
The double bed to the front of the property - the mattress is really uncomfortable
The single bed to the back of the property is a really small bed - better only for a child and the mattress is uncomfortable
The double bed to the back of the property, the bed makes a right noise every time you turn !
The lounge really could do with an extra chair or sofa - ideally where those plants are
