Or stay was very pleasant on the whole. It seems because i asked for a quiet room we ended up in one of the smallest. That was the only down side of our stay that we didn't have a lot of room in our bedroom, especially considering we were staying for a week. I did mention it when we were leaving and they explained that was why. I think i would have preferred a discussion or being given an option about it. I guess it doesn't always pay to mention what you might like so probably my fault

I stay here when working in the area, nice traditional hotel with comfy rooms and a good shower. Breakfast is very good, so much better to have items freshly cooked rather than a buffet!

Building with character that looked well maintained . Staff on receptionon on our arrival late evening welcoming and efficient. We had booked a room with a bath but were assigned a room with walk in shower. Fortunately there was one room left with a bath and we were switched immediately. We completed a breakfast menu request form on arrival but were asked for our menu again at breakfast so not sure the request form had found its way to the restaurant. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent and the hot water was just that. There was grout missing from the first row of tiles around the bath which would allow water to get behind and cause further problems. There was also some mould and grime around the glass shower lower frame and corner area. The bathroom was very small with an associated small bath but tge toiletries were very good. Bed was very comfy and pillows not bad. Tea and coffee tray well stocked with hot chocolate and biscuits. Very nice clean room if a little small. Everything seemed to work but we couldn't find a switch that operated the downlighter above the mirror and window. All in all a comfortable stay and would stay again.

Was recommended to stay at Moorings by a friend and was very impressed 👏. Was giving a great welcome and hotel is very nicely situated for Motherwell Station/ Town Centre. Room was really comfortable and when house keeping got my towel mixed up the hotel worked very to get my towel back.

Check in was smooth and the room was spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. Room was lovely and comfortable and quiet despite lots going on in other areas of the hotel - we had a peaceful nights rest. Will definitely stay again

The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is quite beautiful inside. The lack of elevator may be an issue with someone with mobility issues (our room was on the 2nd floor). There was a good shopping area nearby, including an Aldi (for groceries). The hotel restaurant was very good, with a good selection for dinner options. It was just a couple of blocks away from public transportation.
