THE FOUR WINDS COTTAGES are cute Bungalows located RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE OCEAN at Mile post 17.5 on the Beach Road at 8310 S Old Oregon Inlet Rd in lovely South Nags Head.

Our PRIVATE BOARDWALK guarantees you a place in the sand with no one are sitting on top of you.
These cottages are SENIOR FRIENDLY. They are all on one level, with no stairs to climb.
They are ideal for small families, including the four-legged members. There is even a fenced in yard!
Over the Winter we updated/remodeled this kitchen and we even added a dishwasher.

Four Winds #4 is decorated in a Nautical Theme.
Inside, you’ll find the living room with comfortable furniture and a SMART TV with DVD player.
There are also SMART TVs in the bedrooms for private viewing and FREE WI-FI internet access.
The comfortable living room has leather furniture and a Coffee Table with Foosball in it!
A fully equipped kitchen including a Crockpot and Blender is all you need to keep your hungry family happy. Or you can enjoy the yard and barbeque on the charcoal grill. Eat on the picnic table for your enjoyment.
This home has a pleasant Screen- In Porch so you can enjoy the Ocean breeze without those pesky bugs.

Not your turn yet for the shower? No problem. The outdoor shower has hot & cold water and is Enclosed for privacy.

The host is SUPER responsive and very friendly. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything anyone could need/want. It was a lovely time-travel back to a simpler time when going to the beach meant a lovely cottage, which was one of the reasons we chose this property. We wanted simplicity and comfort, not a beach version of a McMansion.

Everything was great. Needed an extra day and owner was very accommodating. Kitchen and appliances were just right, bedrooms were comfortable. Wifi as listed didn't work with Fourwinds 4, but the wifi router had its password on the back of the router, so wasn't an issue. Pets loved the fenced in yard. It was nice having the local cable box on the main TV.

Feeling Vintage OBX

What a surprise to once again find ourselves in one of the little old OBX cottages after not finding them for about 20 years. BUT it had been recently updated to our delight! New everything in the kitchen was great. The “beach box” was charming and suited to the 2 of us
although we could’ve had 2 more at least. We’ll be back!

A fine place to stay

This house is fine- nothing more, nothing less. The furniture is fine but there is too much of it for the space so not everyone can fit at the table for a meal. There is one and only one roll of toilet paper and no coffee or coffee filters or cooking oil or anything other than salt and pepper. It is close to a public beach entrance but not a lot else. The tiny postage stamp of a yard was a fine place to let the dogs out one last time before bed but too small for anything else. It was clean and the kitchen appliances seemed new and were easy to use. The washer and dryer take up an absurd amount of space in such a small house.

Nice little cabin for a weekend getaway with our dogs. The furniture was comfortable and we had everything we needed. It’s a short walk across the street to the beach. Communication was good and we were called much earlier than our expected check in and told it was ready and we could go ahead and check in. We would stay there again.

Would definitely stay here again. Me and my grandma stayed here for a 2 night Xmas trip and it was perfect. It was so cold we stayed inside and watched movies and slept all day.

Nice little place

Nice little place for small family to stay. older home but the amenities and furnishings are all updated and clean. Outdoor shower is great and hose to clean sand. Easy walk to the beach and short drive to shopping and activities. Will stay again :)

Such A Great Getaway!

This is our second year staying here, and it continues to be the perfect getaway! It's an ideal spot to bring our dogs, with easy access to the beach, and the peaceful, quiet surroundings make it a true retreat. The place is always spotless, well-maintained, and equipped with everything we need for a relaxing vacation. We couldn't ask for more and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil, dog-friendly escape by the sea.

Amazing

Perfect cottage across the street from beach access. Watched sunrise every morning, location near excellent restaurants and activities. Extremely clean and outdoor shower is my favorite!! Also added bonus to be able to bring my fur baby and she has her own fenced in space.

Pleasant convenient house

This house is small, not fancy, but comfortable and informally decorated. Everything works, and the kitchen is new. I booked last minute after another trip fell through. The owner was very helpful in getting this done quickly! The house is at ground level--absolutely no steps if you have (like I do) a bad knee. The beach is just across the road and a dune--you can't see the ocean but there is easy access. Close to a lot of things! I had a nice couple days there. I found the combination dog-pooping area and picnic table/grill odd and unappealing. Maybe dog owners would see it differently!

Relaxing

The cottage was great especially with our 2 dogs. The yard was great to let them into for play & doing their “business”. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The only issue was the mattress on the queen bed was too soft & you tend to roll to the middle. The walk to the beach was easy & crossing street wasn’t bad as traffic was light. We will be back!
