Our flight to Narita airport was cancelled by the airline, so we proactively contacted the hotel the day before our booking through Expedia requesting to either cancel and refund, or transfer our reservation to another property closer to Haneda airport (which is where we were rebooked to fly into). We sent 2 messages through Expedia as we were in transit outside of Japan, and zero response from the hotel. Then we used the chat feature in Expedia, who attempted to cancel and refund our reservation for us. A declined response was received from the hotel the following day because the reservation was missed. This was a very poor experience and we received zero support from the ANA Crowne Plaza due to a cancellation outside of our control. It seems like reservation fee was more important to the hotel than supporting travelers who were scrambling to find new flights and hotels due to cancelled flight. I don't believe IHG will be supportive if anyone encounters unexpected itinerary changes.

The check in staff was very helpful! Got a few extra perks for being an IGH member. The only issue we had was that only 1 restaurant was open. Its seems they close both the other restaurants every Tuesday, the only day we are here. We really would have liked to try the tapanyaki.

The room was fine. The Hotel’s is a little dated. Nowhere during the reservation or the correspondence with the hotel, did anyone mention that the hotel bus comes hourly. So basically, I had to wait an hour for the bus.
