Our socks turned black within an hour of taking our shoes off in the room, there were clumps of dirt and dried beans on the floor so obviously vacuuming isn’t a common occurrence. The room was generally not in good shape/damaged - there were pieces of the tub chipped off, hair in the shower, the tub faucet dripped, the light in the bathroom was hanging halfway out of the ceiling, there were stains on the carpet and the couch cover was unzipped and halfway on when we arrived. Worst of all was the mattress. It was so worn down it looked like an episode of my 600 pound life was filmed in it. I slept about an hour, and struggled to climb out of the bed in the morning I was sunken so deep in the bed. I expressed my concerns the next morning at the front desk and was offered Hilton Honors points if I was a member, I am not and would obviously not be after this experience, so I was offered apologies. Also, from the road on one side of the property the area looks like a nice area with lots of other hotels, but if you leave the property through the other exit just one block away you’re driving past sketchy abandoned houses with boarded up houses and stray dogs.
