Dissapointing
Sorry, but in our opinion this house does not deserve 5 stars. Not even four. The place looks very tired: everything needs to be upgraded. We found quite a few cleanliness issues: AC vents and kitchen hood have not been cleaned in months if not years judging by their look. Found yellow stains and hair on pillows, mold in the master bathroom. Took pictures of all issues and sent to the owners. The patio only has two worn out, very old plastic chairs. The grill is covered with old grease and has no gas! Could not close the patio door mosquito screen as it was off the tracks.
On the last morning of our stay the next renter woke us up at 6 am. He should have been informed by the owners that we had not checked out yet. As a result, we did not get a good sleep before long road trip.
Unlike many other vacation rental properties we stayed at, this house has limited kitchen utensils, only some basic stuff. The dishwasher broke down but was replaced promptly. Thanks.
There is no place to have meals comfortably in the breakfast area. Bar stools are very uncomfortable. We had to use the office desk for that and it was so flimsy that I had to fix it with a wrench.
We feel like we overpaid for this property especially comparing to other properties in the area. We are OK with renting dated houses but they should be priced accordingly.
On the upside, the house sits on a huge lot and very private. The owners responded promptly to all our questions and are very nice. Hope they can learn from our experience.
