Beautiful Nazare

The location was super. The apartment was stocked with everything and there was lots of room. We found the place a little because of few windows -although the lighting was perfect. We had a difficult time finding the place but very good communication with the host to eventually directed us there😀

Overall, this would have been a perfect place for me EXCEPT foul scents from time to time in general, along with uncomfortable scents in kitchen cupboards/etc, was actually SEWER GAS LEAK. I thought the issue was cleanliness, and because I planned to be there for 2.5 months, I would just clean it myself. Almost a month in, a significantly strong sewer smell came up from the bathroom sink and drains, and I became sick with acute symptoms and asked to leave. Note: there was a sewer smell on my first day, but I thought host had remedied the problem when I addressed it, as that specific smell went away. Since leaving this VRBO location, I have been bedridden for a week and in touch with 2 doctors. With all bloodwork and X-rays taken, the final diagnosis was sewer gases in my digestive track - “gases de esgoto” (ou pantano). The doctor at the hospital explained, had I stayed much longer, I could have gone into a coma.Although the host had been as accommodating as possible while I was there, he was dismissive of my symptoms and cause. This concerns me for others who will want to rent. I did let him know of the doctor’s diagnosis, so he can find a professional to take care of necessary plumbing. We left it at that. Reluctant at first, he did refund the money for the remaining time after I moved out. Book at your own risk.Note mold behind seats, rust on silverware, and decaying particle board (w humidity) furniture in pictures were other issues I did not know about until there.

Super Lage, große Wohnung, aber gewöhnungsbedürftig

Die Wohnung ist in Nazare super gelegen und nur zwei Minuten vom Strand entfernt. Sie ist großzügig geschnitten und gut ausgestattet. Unser Aufenthalt war Ende Oktober/Anfang November. Leider roch es in der Wohnung sehr muffig und nach Schimmel. Da alle Fenster in eine Richtung gehen, ist leider auch ein Durchzug nicht so richtig möglich. Auch aus den Schränken roch es nach Schimmel und diese hätten deutlich sauberer sein können. Wir haben uns mit Duftkerzen und Raumerfrischer beholfen. Wirkliches Highlight war der Ofen, der nicht nur für eine gemütliche Atmosphäre sorgte, sondern auch die ganze Wohnung heizte. Alles in allem ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Super großes Apartment, Lage ganz gut

Insgesamt waren wir zufrieden. Übergabe war reibungslos. Es ist von der Größe her super geräumig, gerade das Bad, sehr schön. Allerdings ist die Couch als Schlafcouch total ungemütlich, konnten da nicht schlafen. Schlafzimmer sind 2 Einzelbetten, konnten aber zusammen geschoben werden, Matratzen besser als die Couch. Wer Nazare kennt, weiß wie es in den kleinen Gassen so ist- nicht mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Aber einen halbe Straße vorher kann man kurz zum ein und ausladen parken.
