Briarpatch is an upscale vacation rental home within Virginia’s Wintergreen Resort located in the prestigious Devil's Knob Loop area. Briarpatch is part of the Wintergreen Retreat vacation home collection and was built with attention to details, so you can be assured of a comfortable stay with high quality furnishings and accessories. The house is just a short hike to gorgeous scenic overlooks and within walking distance to the WinterGarden Spa. Ideally setup for 1-2 families - the house comfortably sleeps up to 10 in 4 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths.

Briarpatch features many upscale amenities, including:
Kitchen and Dining area - has been updated with a new GE Profile and Whirlpool premium appliances, and has a fully stocked kitchen with All-Clad cookware. Granite countertops with stools to seat 4 and a large dining table with chairs and benches for 8. Wood burning Stone fireplace with oak mantle.

Downstairs:
Living Room - Large LED TV, assortment of movies on DVD.

We had a wonderful time at Briarpatch! The house is even better than the pictures. It was cosy and charmingly decorated. The house was very clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything you could need. We loved cooking dinners each night in the beautiful kitchen. We enjoyed looking out at the woods through the windows that are on all three sides in the living room. We saw deer and chipmunks. And it was so peaceful to watch the rain from there. The location was great for drives to see the views and to access the trails. We were lucky to have sun during the day and rain in the morning and evenings, when we were at the house! Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Lovely home on a wooded lot.

There was plenty of space for the 4 of us to relax and watch tv, kick back and read a book, and put a puzzle together. Cookware is All Clad stainless, no nonstick, so don't forget the Pam. Trash does have to be taken to a trash receptacle on the resort but that was not a problem for us.

Celebrating my mothers first birthday since she passed away

Came here to release some of my mother’s ashes since her passing in November. My mother always told us she wanted her ashes to be released in wintergreen so since she passed away in November and her birthday is February 4th I decided her birthday would be the perfect day to celebrate her. The house was beautiful and perfect for us. I contacted the owner and asked a question in our stay and they went above and beyond to help us out. We were extremely grateful with them accommodating us. We will now be making this a yearly trip to celebrate my mother.

Great House - But Comes With Work

The house is beautiful, the location is perfect, and the furnishings are great. Just be aware that they day you check in, you will need to put the sheets on five beds and unload the dishwasher. Not the way I was expecting to spend my first evening of vacation. Then, on your check out day, you will need to strip all of the beds, empty all trash cans and haul out the trash a mile away, run the dishwasher and have the house "broom ready," all by 10AM in the morning. Wonderful house otherwise.
