The Distinguished Squirrel Chalet walking distance

Nestled at Wintergreen Resort, this unique Treeloft home is just steps from the slopes! Walking access just 4 houses down. Enjoy a spacious open-plan living area that leads to a large deck with seasonal mountain views—perfect for aprùs-ski relaxation. Two primary bedrooms with king beds and attached ensuites provide ultimate comfort, while the cozy loft with bunk beds is ideal for kids or extra guests. Relax by the propane fireplace and take in the natural beauty—your perfect mountain escape!

You will have access to the entire home. You can walk a few houses down and access the Wintergreen slopes from there.

The house has two main level primary bedrooms (king beds) with attached ensuites. The main bedroom also has a designated workspace with connection tot he back deck.

The upstairs loft has a bunkbed and two twins. It is open to the family room down below with a spiral staircase.

Only two vehicles can park in the driveway when it snows and the other vehicles must be parked on the lookout point. If cars are on the road during the plow, they may be towed.

For guests staying more than a week, the Pet Fee for each pet is an additional $90/week. For one week or less, it would be at a regular charge of $90/pet max of two pets only.

This was one of the most well-stocked houses we've ever rented. The owners thought of everything. The house was very comfortable for our group. Access to the Tyro ski slope was 4 houses down, so no need to drive anyone to the slope. The view was beautiful - we would absolutely stay here again!

The home was immaculately clean and everything was updated and very nice. Perfect amount of space and beds for our group. Just a short 2-3 minute drive to the lift ticket and equipment rental office. I wasn’t crazy about the smell of the cleaning product when we walked in. It lingered for most of the afternoon and night. It was quite strong and not really a good smell. We were only able to come for one night, a Sunday check in and Monday checkout. Wish they could have worked with us a little on early check in or late check out. Especially with the Monday checkout but we were told they couldn’t accommodate us. I would definitely stay here again but if I found one similar that worked with us on the check-in and check-out times, I would opt for the more flexible host. Overall a beautiful place with nice views.

This property was chosen due to a requirement of access without steps and a single floor layout with 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom wing was quite comfortable but the 2nd bedroom was small thus marginal. The bedrooms had no closets available for hanging clothes. The kitchen was very well equipped and supplied but the pots and pans were not well maintained and some of the glassware was found unwashed. It would be helpful to have some cabinet space available for food storage with longer rentals. Otherwise, a small maintenance issue was promptly corrected. However, the request to begin laundering linens on departure is without precedent and thus a negative. Also, a bit of outdoor maintenance would be a plus. Revisiting this area after a long span of time was enjoyable

Dog Friendly

We loved the dog friendly house, and the loft was perfect for our 19yr old son to get away from us. Clean property! The power did go out, we were warned a day ahead. But we just opened the windows. Great place!

Wonderful Stay

The house was beautiful and well stocked. The owner thought of everything and all the light switches were labeled which helped a lot. All of the appliances were top notch and the Keurig coffee maker had everything that was needed. Beds were very comfortable and each room had its own thermostat. Overall, excellent stay!
