The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville's Historic Square Arts District, Stuart's Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. 15 miles from the cabin, guests will run into Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. The pictures do not do it justice. Overall a great stay! Check in / out was quick but had to go to a retail business to pick up key. Home was very clean, but was a little dissappointed that the upstairs ( bath and sleeping area) was so hot! The downstairs was a very comfortable.

Lovely home. Inflexible property management.
This is a great house and we thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the bathrooms needs an update, but otherwise lovely. The town is a bit rough but the house is in the lovely historic district. When asked for the slightest leniency on check in and checkout, the management co was entirely inflexible… but, for a fee they could find their way to allow a late checkout. We were driving by 35 mins. before the checkin time and tried to pick up the key, but we’re turned away. I find that renting from individual owners is so much better than these management companies which are generally expensive and inflexible.
