Historic Home in Nesso (La Turr de Mezz)

In the heart of the picturesque village of Nesso, overlooking a charming view of Lake Como, LA TURR DE MEZZ is the ideal choice for those seeking an authentic experience, immersed in the peace of nature and the timeless beauty of the lakeside landscape.

This charming stone building, nestled among the village houses, is an original 18th-century mill, located next to a stream that flows lively from the woods, creating a magical and evocative natural soundtrack. The accommodation, located on the first floor, welcomes guests into a warm and comfortable space, featuring a living area with a kitchenette, dining table, and a double sofa bed (Please note: the sofa bed is not prepared, we think it is proper to use the sofa during non-sleeping hours. You will find sheets, pillows and blankets in the closet/shelf most adjacent to the sofa). From here, you can directly access the private balcony with a rose garden—perfect for enjoying breakfast or an aperitif surrounded by the scent of roses, while admiring the stunning view of the lake and lush surrounding vegetation. The upper floor, reached by a lovely wooden spiral staircase, houses the double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. A French door lets in natural light and frames a picturesque view of old rooftops, trees, and shimmering water reflections, creating an intimate and relaxing atmosphere.

Quality bedding, towels and a courtesy kit are provided.

We also leave a gift basket with some necessary items for your first breakfast.

The apartment does not have a private parking space.

During the summer months, you can enjoy direct access to the river for a refreshing swim in its crystal-clear waters—an invigorating experience just steps from your door.

Any commercial business is forbidden inside the apartment.

Nesso offers the chance to discover charming spots steeped in history, surrounded by nature and the allure of Lake Como. Just a 5-minute walk from the apartment lies the Orrido di Nesso, a spectacular waterfall plunging through narrow rock gorges, visible from the characteristic Ponte della Civera, a symbol of the village. Slightly above the village, the Castle of San Lorenzo overlooks the landscape with its ivy-covered ruins, preserving the memory of the area’s ancient past and offering breathtaking panoramic views. The most renowned towns on the lake—such as Bellagio, Lenno, Tremezzo, and Menaggio—can be easily reached by ferry, allowing you to fully enjoy the elegant and picturesque atmosphere of Lake Como.

How to get there:

By car: follow the SP583 from Como for about 30 minutes, using GPS.

By train: from the Como Lago station, take the C30 bus toward Bellagio and get off at the “Nesso - Piazza Castello” stop (32 stops, about 40 minutes). Alternatively, you can also reach Nesso by ferry from Como (Navigazione Lago di Como). The village’s dock is about a 10-minute walk from the property.
