Welcome to The Residence at Moonrise on Mill St. Inn!

This is a stylish 1890's Victorian house tucked away a 1/2 block off Broad St. in the heart of downtown.



Living room & dining room are perfect for hanging out with family & friends. Fully stocked kitchen & 2 full bathrooms. There is a porch to hang out on & watch the world go by!

2 rooms w/ queen beds

1 bedroom w/ queen bed & twin bed (upstairs)



Modern Victorian is how we like to describe our house. A lot of love has gone into designing this house!



We have a cozy natural gas fireplace in the living room to curl up by!



We also have central air: a/c for those hot summer nights and heat for the cool winter nights



Guest access:

You will have access to the entire 3 bedroom house, front porch, and the backyard.



The backyard is shared with another house 1 bedroom on the property.



700+ Mbps wifi speeds



Dogs are allowed w/ PRIOR agreement to dog rules. A non-refundable dog fee will be requested when booking. We will email you the pet rules and ask that you read through and acknowledging the rules. No cats, please!



Please note that the house has steep stairs to get to the top two bedrooms. There is a bathroom and bedroom (queen bed) on the ground floor for anyone with mobility issues!



We have another 1 bedroom Carriage House that sleeps 4 that is on the same property. Great for wedding parties & friend & family get togethers!

DISCLAIMER- Because wildfires are foreseeable risks in this area, no refunds or rescheduling will be provided for fire-related issues (including smoke (air quality), fire bans, or fear of travel) unless a mandatory government evacuation order prevents access.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels and store extra beds
Remove personal items and remove leftover food and drinks
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
-Place used bath, river, wash clothes & hand towels in front of the washer. If you have 2 or more bath or river towels, please start a load w/ detergent -Wash dirty dishes thoroughly, dry & put away.
-Load and start dishwasher -Gather belongings. We charge a $25 fee + shipping costs to return items. -Turn off all lights, fireplace, ceiling fan, small fans & heaters or AC unit.
-Clean the BBQ grill for the next guests, if used. -Late checkouts are SOMETIMES possible but ask 24 hours before check out. If prior approval is not given, we charge $30 every 15 minutes after 11am.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

The kitchen was fully equipped and the space was pet friendly. The home is absolutely gorgeous- it feels like a high-end art-deco style hotel. The bathrooms are beautiful and the beds comfortable with luxurious linens. The location could not be more convenient, and it was just overall a wonderful place to spend a few days. We had an amazing time at Jess's beautiful house which was so meticulously decorated and aesthetically beautiful. The kitchen had everything we needed and the home was perfectly comfortable for our party of three. We loved that their home was close to Nevada City shopping and the Yuba river. We said WOW right when we walked in! This house is stunning and I loved all of the decor throughout. The first floor has everything you need, from a bedroom, a fully stocked kitchen, and a cute backyard, to being just steps away from the main strip of shopping and restaurants. The upstairs was fantastic, with two bedrooms and another full bathroom. We also enjoyed breakfast on the porch and would absolutely stay here again. Five stars all around!

Great Location and Enjoyable Stay

We were fortunate to find this gem of a place available for the weekend when we attended a wedding in Nevada City. Everyone in our group commented how wonderful this place was as it is within walking distance to the main street, shops and nature trails. It was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well appointed with all of the necessities, including spices. There is one bedroom downstairs and two upstairs. The stairs are a little steep but were fine for everyone in our group. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and Jess was a great host.
