Great alternative place to stay if you want an economical option to places in Gruene during Schlitterbahn’s off season. It’s nice and quiet and still keeps you very close to Gruene and the downtown area.

Staff members were kind and helpful. Location was beautiful but I was disappointed that we couldn’t go near the river. It was completely fenced off. It is the off season so I assume that’s why, but it would be nice to walk along or sit near the water. We saw lots of deer and a kitty on the property. The room was spacious, with two queen beds, a futon, and a full kitchen. It felt clean. Though, when we pulled back the covers to go to bed, there was a strip of false lashes in the covers. We ended up using the second bed to sleep in. I’m sure during the summer the resort would be a blast, but during the off season it seems like there isn’t much to do. Overall we had a good stay and our needs were met. Will consider coming back in the summer.

The room was cozy and clean. The bed was surprisingly comfy!! The off season price was incredible!!! The attendant who checked me in was very sweet and she recommended the BEST diner for breakfast. 10/10 would stay in the off season again!

We arrived late at night, after unpacking and putting kids to sleep, we noticed that the A/C unit was not working in our room. We had to move to another room (there were no rooms available in the same building); so we had to take our sleeping kids in the car and drive to the new room. That room was perfect and bigger than the original we had booked, however, it was a lot of hassle transferring from one room to another one in the middle of the night with kids and belongings.

Our particular cabin 1432 was AMAZING… 3rd floor, vaulted ceilings, modern… close to everything, yet on the river. Spacious! I would highly highly recommend! Pleasant surprise!!

Family Time

All the staff are very friendly and helpful! The view from the balcony is so beautiful. We just enjoy the setting out and listening to the water flowing, birds singing and wind blowing through the trees.
