We have stayed at the original Schlitterbahn resort for decades, and decided to try the Lofts as an upgrade. The main Schlitterbahn staff is amazing, we had to request a venue change based on the fact that Expedia never disclosed there were one to three flights of stairs, definitely not handicap accessible. Expedia also had somewhat of a bait and switch, as we were expecting to get an event package, but found out that the package was only available at the original resort.
The patio view from the suite was amazing, definitely a treetop venue with a view of the Comal river.
The two bedroom/two bath suite we booked was very spacious, and included a washer dryer which we didn't need, but could be useful for a longer stay.
The cleanliness of the loft property was below par, which prompted my lower review, and which we were reported to management at the end of our stay.
The thermostat had faulty buttons, so trying to change the temperature to a warmer setting was nearly impossible.
There was also an AC unit somewhere on the property that was going bad, and had a continuous loud grinding noise when it ran, loud enough to drive us indoors.
If we had a longer stay, I'm sure management would have responded to the issues we had, the property is in a very good location, and I would book again-but would definitely walk through it first.
