Friendly/helpful staff and best location in the French Quarter (step out and you’re on Bourbon Street without the full-on noise of Bourbon Street)

I would have to said that this was one of the most disappointing experiences I've every had staying at a hotel. I had to switch rooms 3 time, first was unacceptable, second room they sent me to had not been cleaned yet and there was still dirty towels in the bathroom and the bed sheets were in a pile on the floor, the third room was great, but had someone walk in on me an my partner because the front desk gave them keys to our room. The desk was unfriendly and hard to communicate with. I did valet and their was never anyone to be found for my service. There was two college frat houses attending the hotel and it was loud, trash everywhere, and vomit in a bucket in the hall. I got a text from the hotel checking on their service, when I replied it asked me to go to the front desk for support, but that's where most of my issues were from. Waits were long in dealing with all this and I would never stay at this hotel again...very disappointed and I'm generally easy to please.

Hello my name is Chris Davis, I just finished my stay at the Astor Crowne plaza in New Orleans La in the French Quarter. I’m not one to complain but the stay was less than pleasant. First the elevators where down for two days, we weren’t allowed of use the stairs to get up to our rooms. We would have to wait 25-30 min to use the service elevator. Then once In the room let me just say was extremely run down. In addition to management not telling us about road blocks after 7pm on canal street. Due to parades. I’ve been a Ihg member for quite a while and very often stay at your properties. This location was by far the worst I’ve stayed in.

We do our best to inform guests of the festivities, but street closures' times and placements are completely unpredictable and out of our control. Our city's police department tend to move the blockades as they see fit. Sorry for any inconveniences this has caused you.
